Can i use this repeatedly for very hot water. Not microwaved just hot.

I would think so! Are you boiling the water then outing it in? Maybe just really hot. I would get the water used to it first making the water hotter slowly. The glass is very nice though!

How wide is the opening?

At least 5 inches. Mine is filled with small rattan balls. Basically, a fish bowl.

How many gallons can the 4.5in tall x 6in wide hold?

The bowl is very small. It will not hold a gallon.

Yes. They have a nice flat, smooth opening and can stack without wobbling.
