Trademark Global 72-0850 Super Door Stop Alarm - Great for Traveling - As Seen on TV

So first of all these came from China, and took a pretty long time (3+ weeks) to arrive. Whilst they were in cardboard boxes, the actual units looked like they were 2nd hand - multiple scratches, dents etc. The build quality was also pretty poor.Now in terms of a door stop, they are only so-so effective..... The bottom of them is rubber - so they work OK on hard surfaces, but I actually found they slide more than grip on carpets. Also, I tested them on home on 10 of my doors - 3 of them held and 7 of them slide and allowed the door to open without sounding any alarm- the common factor seemed to be the size of the gap between then carpet and the door - if the gap is < 1cm, then the door stops were simply pushed aside by the door, but if the gap was fairly wide, then it would start to grip, the alarm would sound and the door would get some resistance, but the amount of hold was dependant on the type of carpet. I would not trust my family's safety to these.

I have had one of these for many many years and it still works perfectly, always wanted another but could not find them, until now! They are so versatile for anywhere around the house or when on holiday, and does emit a nice LOUD alarm which does not stop until either the battery runs out or you switch it off! I would recommend to anyone .

This is a good little alarm. You open your door as far as you want it opened, then place the alarm a couple of inches near it. If someone tries to open the door further, as soon as the door touches the alarm it gives out a loud high piercing sound. It stops next doors cat coming in when I want my back door opened for a while..

Some people have stuffed toys to make them feel safe when they go to sleep, but I have... This. I use this to stop people from opening my bedroom door, particularly when I am going to sleep and I love it. I've been using it for a year or so now, every night. It's become a very comfortable part of my routine and I take it with me to use if I sleep at places other than home because I've got so routinely used to it I don't think I could sleep without it.

Took a while to arrive, but a great purchase at this price. Solid construction. Loud alarm. Might be a bit thick on the leading edge to go under doors with little or no clearance, but works fine for us so far.

Easy to pack. Very loud. Feel safer in hotel room. Fits all inward opening doors
