Etrian Odyssey 2: Untold: The Fafnir Knight /3DS

This is a great dungeon crawler. It can be very unforgiving, and grinding is necessary. I ended up burning ~100 hours in this game without purchasing and DLC.The battle system is the standard turn based one, but there is so much complexity involved with all of the classes/jobs to chose from and their abilities.Level up through skill trees, each class has it's own tree. I really like the Grimoire system where (mainly during combat) you can find a stone containing the ability of the enemy or an ally, and can equip these stones to give a broad array of abilities or concentrate on strengthening an existing one.As I mentioned the difficulty is set very high. I've been playing RPGs for 20 years but still had to drop the difficulty setting from normal to picnic halfway through as I just could not get passed a certain frozen boss.

This game is amazing, I've only recently played Etryianian Odyssey 1 having got hold of a second hand copy. But I think EO2 is even better than the first as it seems more intuitive, user friendly and more engaging. I love making the maps, exploring, the story line and also how the characters do have very different skills & personalities. Thanks to those who confirmed it's a PAL version, glad I got it!

Got this for my 12 year old daughter. She liked detsiled graphics and the storyline and the way the game chanes at each level

I find these games really hard but I cant stop getting them, the style and the gameplay is addictive. Just dont expect a easy game, the game is fair but only as long as you dont go too far too fast!

This has an interesting and engaging storyline, with great characters, scenery and plenty of hours of playtime.

I brought this for my brother and he was very happy with the buy!!
