HPC Fire Round Fire Pit Glass Wind Guard (WG23-RD), 23-Inch

Dressed up a normal fire pit. Sturdy packaging and easy to assemble.

The wind guard is a quality product and works very well. Just used on a breezy evening and it prevented the fire from dancing around yet gave us a nice effect and provided some warmth.

You will need two people to finalize assembly and move the unit into place. The assembly is precise but the feet, the part that touches your table, move so each of the base assembly connectors has to be individually adjusted.The parts and pieces are precise and manufactured to tight tolerances. The glass curve pieces fit the assembly as assemble and look great. Other than the feet as mentioned above it is a well engineered assembly.

I purchased the 23 inch round wind guard for a fire table my husband purchased for me, for Mother's Day, from Costco. Without the wind guard, a breeze would end up blowing the flames half way across the table top. I don't know why all fire tables do not come with a wind guard as it seems they would be unusable without one.The inner diameter of my fire pit is 18 inches. This 23 inch wind guard fits perfectly just at the edge of the fire ring's outer border. The wind guard has rubber feet which help keep it in place and up slightly off of the table for airflow. When putting the wind guard together, I followed the recommendations of others to put it together upside down. I believe this is key to having an easy time during assembly. Then do not try to turn the wind guard back over until you have secured all of the brackets tightly. There were some metal shavings still attached to the inside of one of the brackets, but I removed them easily with a kitchen knife. I assembled the wind guard on a large flat table in my house and then carefully carried it outside to the fire table. We cover our table at night, in case of rain, but I don't believe the wind guard would need any extra protection. It seems pretty sturdy.

Not easy to put together. Constantly moves as it’s being put together. Tried putting it together on a level area and then move it to fire pit, but it falls apart. Size was inaccurate. Yes I did measure before I bought it... I bought this to keep my dog’s face and tail safe as she made me nervous near the pit. I ended up just placing the glass pieces inside the rim of the pit and it doesn’t look as pretty but it does the job I wanted it to do... keeps the dog safe.

This wind guard looks great and does a good job at keeping flames in check during breezy weather. We can enjoy the warmth from the fire pit without fearing the flames.

It looks great and works fine but it us hard to assemble. Things do not line up well. It took my husband a few tries to get it done.

The media could not be loaded. I was worried the glass would arrive chipped or broken. That was not the case. It arrived quickly, packaged great and nothing was chipped or broken. I liked that the attachment screws had a pad on each screw that touched the glass. It was easy to put together and the effects of the fire (at night especially) is mesmerizing. Love it.
