Why on earth is this so expensive?  it's so easily broken.  mine has now fallen to pieces with the metal housing being stuck inside the usb port.

Will this solve the bt issues (dropping connection) i have connecting my elite 85h headphones to my pc?

I have the same headset and had to purchase one of these dongles to try to improve performance as a PC headset.

The "30m range" is a joke.  Maybe in a direct line-of-sight connection, but I can't walk around my house - where I'd never be more than 10m from my PC - without it dropping connection multiple times.  The call quality improves a lot, but there's still hiss on the headset as long as it's powered on.  That hiss *might* be electrical noise from my PC, but I think it's more likely to be a failure of noise cancellation.

There's still an issue with the delay that you may have experienced with the 85h when you start playing something.  You've probably got about 5 seconds before you can actually hear anything - the dongle doesn't help with that (I hoped it would).

Is this link 370 usb adaptor compatible with the elite 85h?  i bought this and inserted it into a usb port on my pc laptop but cant seem to pair?

This works to pair the 85h, but there are issues.  Volume settings change regularly on disconnect (which can happen while sitting beside the system, or during reboot) and require setting system volume anywhere between 10 and 100.  It improves the call clarity immensely, but the range isn't improved and is very poor when moving around the house (ie, it doesn't work through a plasterboard stud wall).
