Review: Really good delay/reverb and a great value - In my opinion, this is a very solid delay/reverb pedal for really low money -$55. I am running this after a Truetone Rte 66 compressor/overdrive and just before a Keeley Zoma reverb/tremolo. The pedal board output feeds a Carl Martin Ampster as an amp-less set up with an XLR out to the board. I am using the Zoma for the base reverb effect and obviously for when I want some tremolo. The Sonicake is really good for a lot of soundscapes. The reverb is more like a hall reverb with a pretty long decay and creates a good ambient-type sound - especially when stacked on the Zoma reverb. Because you can turn on the delay and keep the reverb off for the Levitate (separate on/off switches), I can set up for running a short delay into the Zoma for some interesting deluxe reverb tones with an old school rockabilly/country feel. The other big plus is having both wet and dry signal control knobs for really dialing in just the right blend of effect for the music. I really like this pedal and can't believe the price. Yeah- you can buy a separate delay and reverb from some well-recognized brands, but this is probably 1/4 of what you would pay for those. And I don't believe you will be getting 4X the sound quality - in fact I would bet it may be hard for most to tell the difference. I am really happy with this purchase.
Review: Good value. - This is for the Sonicake Levitate. The reverb is, well a $50 reverb. It works well as long as you don't over do it with the reverb tails. At least for me the long tails sound a bit too bright and artificial but that's a subjective thing. The delay is a definite step up from the $20-$30 delays (probably based on the pt2399 chip). The delay does not go into oscillation at max feedback. The delayed signal degrades or is passed through a filter to give a vintage type sound. There is also a tap tempo feature which is a very cool capability. The best feature is that the delayed signal and dry signal have individual level controls. You can have the delayed signal as loud or louder than the original signal, or turn the dry signal all the way down and only hear the delayed signal. Overall well worth the $50. The reverb is good if not overdone. The delay is, well is there another delay with 2 second delay time at this price point? The pedal is well built and the pots feel like quality pots. Highly recommended for the quality to price ratio.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Preamp/Drive pedal
*by P***R on July 1, 2025*

This is a review of the Sonicake B-Factory Bass Preamp pedal. I've been looking for quite some time for an inexpensive pedal that I can use for recording and to replace my outdated Eleven Rack. This is the first pedal that I believe I could take to a gig or jam and plug into front of house. I've been using it since I got it plugged directly into a mixer, which goes to a pair of 12" FRFR amplified speakers. One thing, the switchable drive circuit only operates when the preamp is enabled. The drive circuit gives the bass just enough snarl so it doesn't disappear into a recording mix. For applications or recordings requiring a pure bass tone, the preamp definitely delivers. With my Precision Bass and the preamp, I can get tones that sound very close to an upright bass. This isn't set up to emulate multiple amps. Without the drive circuit, you get a very clean bass signal, reminiscent of the late 60's Bassman amp/cab rigs (not the older tweed model). With the drive engaged, it sounds more like an SVT. But you can probably find something you like with the tone combination and judicious use of the drive circuit. The only negative I've found with it is the output doesn't appear to adjustable enough to replace the preamp on a bass amp. I've hooked it up to my old Bassman 100 solid state amp through the power amp input, bypassing the amp's internal preamp and while the sound quality is excellent, it just doesn't have enough signal to fully drive the amplifier. It would be nice to have a switch so the 1/4" output could be changed from instrument level to line level. I'm very happy with this and highly recommend it to others.
