desertcart.com : Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup - 190ml : Everything Else Review: Yum! - A great condiment/ingredient to use instead of just regular Worchestershire sauce. Not overpowering, just the right hint of umami to leave you guests gussing what your secret ingredient is. Review: Like a milder, more mushroomy Worcestershire sauce - My wife and I saw this used in a Townsends YouTube video (he does 18th century recipes) and just had to give it a try. It wasn't at all what we were expecting, but that's not a bad thing at all! Like my title says, it tastes somewhat like a milder Worcestershire sauce with less spice and more mushroom flavor instead. That doesn't quite do it justice - there's some other unique flavors I'm not describing - but that's the best way I can think to describe it to someone who has never tasted it before. The bottom line though is that it's good, really good. It goes great on savory pies, on meat, in soups... okay that's all we've really tested so far. There will be more tests though, oh yes. For now though this is already a winner and we'll definitely be adding it to our pantry permanently.

Meh. Just meh.
My anticipation for Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup was undeniably high, fueled by the prospect of a rich and distinctive flavor. Regrettably, the reality fell a bit short of my lofty expectations. The taste, while not as robust as I had hoped, still manages to provide an acceptable enhancement to dishes. It may not be the flavor revelation I anticipated, but it holds its own as a decent addition to culinary experiments

A good choice
I got this years ago, and I still use it regularly as an acid replacement in recipes where they normally call for wine or vinegar. It's excellently crafted and very tasty.

Not a ketchup
When ketchup comes to mind I think thick, rolls out slowly from a bottle. This isnโt that. A most pleasant soy sauce substitute would be a better description. Very delicate unique special wow liquid.

Nothing wrong with it, just not as good as tomato or bannana ketsup,
Nothing wrong with it, just not as good as tomato or banana ketchup, taste like mild Asian fish-sauce more than anything else. Not a huge suprise. Tomato is good Bananna is good, it's exactly what you image if you mentaly replace tomato with bananna in your existing ketchup. Mushroom was under whelming, just not much going on.

Great product!
I love this product. It has good flavor. Good on beef or chicken. I love it on steak and hamburgers. I couldn't find it for many years and I'm very glad that Amazon carries it now. It's a definite reorder in our house.

Great Taste
Use it on steak or put it on rice. Its even great on fried potatoes and lots of other things. Its pretty runy compared to modern day tomatoe ketchup, but its how ketchup was traditionally made.

sehr lecker
Damit kann man leicht ein gewisses Pilzaroma an Speisen bringen
