ASICSGel Venture 9 Mens Trail Running Shoes Road

Great shoe. Pretty comfy, didn't rub even though new. Feels quite springy whilst running. Size was as expected, not narrow or anything unusual in the toe fit.

Great shoe. Substantial arch support (good for me). Appears very sturdy. Looks great. Perfect for walking and running on pavement and trail - AND for everyday use.Sizing. I've worn a US 10 in ASICS of this style for decades. When I ordered from Amazon UK the sizing advice for US 10 was a UK 9-1/2. I ordered a UK 9-1/2. It arrived and fit perfectly.However, the inside tongue tag indicated: "CM 28.25 EURO 44.5 US 10-1/2 UK 9-1/2 BR 42 CN 282.5(2.5)". Although the US-UK sizes differed from the chart I used to order, out worked out well for me. I thought I had ordered a US 10 but a US 10-1/2 arrived.I'm satisfied but confused on sizing. Does a UK 9-1/2 equal a US 10 or a US 10-1/2?

Bought to use on a 10k multiterain race, mostly grass and gravel, some mud and tarmac road. Have been happy with Asics in past. These are lighter than my previous ones, and felt very comfortable straight out of the box. Fit as expected. The tread pattern seemed adequate for my use and the grip seemed good on grass and gravel, also handled the mud ok, not quite so good on the tarmac but not too bad. Happy with the cushioning, as have had achilles problems but these seemed ok. I liked the look of them though didn't buy them for their looks as soon got muddy. I did miss the lace lock system my other trainers have had, so had to make sure the laces were well tightened and tied to prevent any foot movement or slide.They weren't as expensive as some on the market, and price seemed to vary considerably depending on the colours available.

I have been buying ASICS GEL for years.. Never been disappointed.. I buy these for leisure not running. Great with a pair of Jeans or Shorts on a night out .. So comfy. Love the style and colours.. GEL makes walking easy..Less impact on the feet. Which I guess they are designed for..

Really like these trainers and perfect for me as they are wide at the toe. Very comfortable and stylish. Use for everyday and outdoor running. Not waterproof.

Comfortable but quality a bit ropey and ripping on the little toe. But I do use them a lot. Hard to say if it’s me or the shoe

I am a size 11 Mens if you use a brannock device to measure your foot. Width is a C-D. A 12 fits fine. I could probably have done the 11, but was afraid the pinky toes might rub on the sides of the shoe - depending on how pointy the ends of shoes like this are, you need a little larger size to keep your toes from getting bunched up… not with these.The cuff around the ankle bone is cut low, so it does not cut into the bottom of your ankle - that is a problem with some cross trainer type shoes made of the pretend leather - they aren’t flexible enough and the cut isn’t deep down enough.These would be fine if they did - the collar is padded and soft… sometimes, with a low cut collar like that, the heel will slip out of the shoe - these do not do this. Heel stays in the shoe, plenty of room around the ankle.Wouldn’t mind a version that’s a little less ventilated for winter use, but these are fine with a wool sock.Support is good enough - I always use insole inserts with a better heel cup and arch, but what came with the shoe is not bad. Not super impressive, but I think I could get away with using it. I just prefer my Sole brand inserts.Haven’t used them long enough to know the longevity - materials seem decent. Other brands I end up gluing soles back in, or gluing split seams (If I don’t sew them with an awl). I expect that with anything under about $70 anymore… these are holding up very nicely.
