I just changed my oil and I would like to wait another 5,000 miles.** A: It depends how many miles your vehicle has. If it is less than 30,000 miles, you can just add in the treatment and drive. If it's more than that, we recommend driving about 250 miles and then changing the oil and doing a 2nd treatment in fresh oil. At 30k+ miles, engines will already have contaminants that the RVS treatment will remove, and they will then start circulating in the oil, thus the 250 mile recommendation. If your car has more miles and you just changed the oil, you can perform the treatment towards the end of the oil change interval so you don't waste the fresh oil. **Q: what if i dont change my oil immediately and wait 5,000 miles? i just changed my oil** A: No… you have change your oil after 1st treatment at 250/300 miles, it “cleans” the motor out, so a fresh round of the treatment will soak into clean metal. I used the 6 to clean, then the 8 for the normal treatment and oil change on my V8 Dodge motor.
