These glasses are very sturdy and nice looking. I have a cast iron sink and have broken a number of thinner glasses while washing the dishes. These have stood up to the occasional slip and fall in the sink. They are stackable. I purchased the 12 oz, the 16oz, and the 21 oz. All are very nice glasses, very satisfied with this purchase.

Sturdy, easy to hold, stackable, and they look good too. They look like glasses you'd be served at a diner or a bar & grill. They come out of the dishwasher with no problem. I liked the first set so much I got a second one. My one complaint was the packaging. Thankfully my first set wasn't chipped or broken (haven't received the second set yet), but they only wrap half the glasses in the box, so I could see how some might arrive damaged.

I ordered the 16 ounce size, set of six, and the 9 ounce size in this style of glassware. It was time to update our home used glassware, so I was looking for some thing that could stack in the cabinet, had a sturdy bottom, less vulnerable to tipping when possibly bumped, and was easy to clean, dishwasher safe. These glasses came highly recommended through Amazon reviews. I have been using them now for a few days and my whole family agrees, they work great for all kinds of beverages. The set of six in each size was really reasonable in price. I love the way they wash in the dishwasher, and how they fit in the top rack. They have a nice nonagram "Nine sided shape" from the base to the top rim which is round. The short glasses also fit inside the top of the larger glasses. My son, who works for a restaurant equipment company recognized these glasses as widely used in many of the restaurants where he delivers kitchen equipment. I love the 9 ounce size, the big round top is easy for pouring juice or other beverages into without spilling. The 16 ounce are great for iced tea and water. Now it would be fun to find these glasses with a tint of color, not sure if that is available, but I will be looking to add to my sets.

Good: Hefty and well-balanced, will not tip over on the slightest excuse, even when full, as so many glasses do. High-quality tempered glass makes them shatter-resistant, although they will break if abused sufficiently. Mold marks are all but invisible. Stackable even when hot or wet with no risk of glasses jamming together. Bad: A bit high-priced, but you do get what you pay for. When they break they don't explode into slivers like regular glass, but they also don't break up into car-window-ish rounded bits as I was expecting when I saw "tempered glass." (Also, see below.) Ugly: Nothing; a pleasant minimalist design. Bottom line: I ordered a set of these - the 6-, 12.5- and 16-oz. sizes - in 2010, and was impressed enough with them to order another set this month when attrition made it needful. Five stars. Afterword: I have yet to see one of these glasses spontaneously shatter, as a few reviewers have reported, but I'm not all that surprised. I strongly suspect that these incidents were the result of running a scratched or chipped glass through the dishwasher or microwave. Tempered glass is intolerant of anything more than very minor damage; subjecting a deeply-scratched or -chipped glass to sudden heating or cooling is an open invitation for it to release the internal stresses that make up the "tempered" part. This is inherent in any tempered glass; it is not a product defect, but rather the trade-off for an overall stronger material. A glass with a significant scratch or chip should be thrown away. Fortunately, tempered glass is damage-resistant in the first place, so this won't happen often. I have yet to have to do so.

I love the quality of these glasses and are stackable, saving space in the cabinet. Also, they are lead free and easy to hold in the hand due to the design. Delivery was fast and packaging professional

This set of glasses not only look great, they feel good in your hands due to their weight. We purchased 12 of these over 8 months ago and not a single one has broken, even though they've had continued use. We recently moved to an apartment with less kitchen storage. Due to these stackable glasses, we've been able to store all of our glasses on a small 8" x 11" shelf along with our mugs. They make a small kitchen much more bearable! _________________________________________________________________________________ We have had these glasses for over five years now. We even bought the smaller size for our child so her glasses match ours. They have suffered a lot of abuse between a toddler, sometimes careless adults, and a couple of international moves. I originally purchased these and the smaller glasses because they are tempered glass, believing that if they were broken, the shards would be rounded and safer. We have broken two of these over the years and this has not been true. The shards range in size from barely visible slivers to large chunks. None of them are very rounded. Some seem even more splinter like than regular glass. Cleaning up after one of these breaks seems harder than regular glass. There seems to be more smaller slivers and they seem to fly further. I actually have a scar on my foot after stepping on a shard after what we thought was a thorough vacuuming of the area. Even after vacuuming the area over three times, we still found tiny, barely visible slivers of glass for days afterward. As a parent of a young child, this was rather terrifying. I reduced my rating to four stars. These glasses are sturdy and compact. We had them for over half a decade and we've only broken two out of the 12 we purchased. They, however, do not break as I would expect for tempered glass. If one breaks, I recommend extreme retentiveness in vacuuming every nook and cranny in about a 10 foot radius from the breakage, especially if you have young children or pets. And then I would vacuum some more.

The Bormioli Rocco Rock Bar collection is a boon for my kitchen, family and guests. I can store enough in my small cupboards to allow me to rinse and wait till the dishwasher is full to run, and still have enough for the next family meal or snack. For company I prefer not to use disposable products and this collection allows for enough glassware to be available for a crowd of guests! Thank you Bormioli and Amazon. The 16.25 oz. glasses are perfect for the "big guys" with big hands. (I've sometimes wondered, watching guys reach for a glass of soda, if they feel they are living in a miniature world. Not with these glasses!) They are also perfect for smoothies, ice cream sodas, special sundaes. The 12.5 oz. is perfect for that all purpose beverage with ice - water, soda. iced tea (yes, I know there are special glasses for that), or a big helping of juice. The 9 oz. is the all-purpose glass for me. Not too much, not too little. I find I use this one most often. It is especially useful when you want to allow people to fill their glass, and ask for more; as opposed to fill a glass and not finish. The 6.75 oz. juice glass is a standard in my household. Every youngster can get a good grip on this glass and enjoy a beverage. The 2.5 oz. shot glass is, I thought, of little use to me, but I recently picked up a set on sale at a local store. Why? They are too cute. I recently used one for a granddaughter who wanted a drink of water at bedtime. It worked. I'll come up with some other uses --- how about filling with dip for small snack before bedtime? Then there's the 13.25 oz. double old-fashioned glass. Have not purchased these yet. They feel like a shorter version of the 16.25 oz. glass; a good feel for those with bigger hands or perfect for a short cocktail. Envision it to be perfect for a Manhattan-on-the-rocks. Bottom line is, for me, this line of glasses is so good that I spent all this time to talk about it.

I really like these! I didn't want to get "bar" type glasses, but they use them for a reason. These are super sturdy, stackable, and look pretty good. They haven't gotten that weird film that some of our other glasses have gotten, which makes me happy. Price was good and hopefully they'll last a long time. If they do, I'm getting more in different sizes!
