I really like this movie I've watched it about four times

There just isn't a better actor than Denzel Washington. Great castingby, Ridley Scott to play this part. Fictional History at it's best. Great Movie

I saw a clip of American Gangster on YouTube with Denzel Washington talking about brand infringement. I got pretty hooked on the acting so I decided to watch it.This was one of those movies where you get to see a SOLID performance and screen play. I saw lots of recognizable black actors such as Common, T.I., that guy from Dr. Strange, Edris Alba (too bad his role didn't last for long), it was great to see such an expansive cast covering Frank Lucas' family.The story covers both the life of Frank and Richard, you get to see the depth of their character. They are both neither purely good or evil, each has their own humanly fault which was great to see and to be able to relate to.The movie is about 2 hours and thirty minutes long and usually for a movie of that length it's pretty difficult to get the pacing down but of course the movie does such a good job on it. Other movies take note.Overall, I thought the movie was really unique, captivating, and memorable.Will definitely watch again with more people as a great movie to recommend.
