Misleading item description
So long story short, got this for my Legion Go because it says it’s compatible in the title, they’re not wrong, however the cable is so short you can’t reach the usbc port in the left of the device so the only way is to flip it upside down, no problem, but then you realize that at the minimum vibration or movement the legion is literally held by a millimeter and keeps falling from it. M.2 stopped working while cloning my internal drive after getting too hot, luckily it didn’t fry. I wouldn’t recommend this for its price or for anyone with a Legion Go… for others like steam deck or the ally maybe it’s ok. I would be better getting a dock and an m2 enclosure separate.

This is a great dock that keeps my steam deck topped off. It charges my steam deck really fast and what I like most about it, is that it has a l-shaped connection which means I can plug in my steam deck with the killswitch case and not have any issues. It also comes with extra storage so you can have more memory. It has a lot of plugs so you can connect other auxiliary devices like a mouse and keyboard too.

I've gone through multiple docks from generic mfg, to steam deck's official dock, and the sabrent dock. I knew I should have started w/ Jsaux's m.2 dock. I had the original plain dock and it still works flawlessly. This one is no different. Read/write speeds were up to 3.6 gb/s w/ no slowdown. Dock was compatible w/ the max refresh rate on my monitor. Windows on Deck automounts out of the box (I have windows on the internal deck ssd). Simply put it just works Here are my struggles w/ the other docks: Steam Deck Dock -Wouldn't recognize my screen -Had trouble running games on windows w/ external display Sabrent (I tried two and had the same issues) -Max refresh rate 75 hz -Frequent usb c port, external ssd disconnection -Write speed would go up and down (0 to 2gbs for no reason during entire write) -caused file corruption from frequent disconnection This was w/ multiple power sources (45w, 65w, 100w) Generic Dock -Bricked my m.2 ssd, like hardcore. I thought I would have RMA it but after scouring reddit pages and multiple days of Linux and windows refreshing I got it back to life (and learned some linux...um thank you?) Even though this dock only has 2 usb ports, no displayport, and no manual power switch it is still the best on market today. Save your sanity and look nowhere else. Update: I had concerns about heat mentioned in previous reviews. I would like to report even w/ high transfer speeds the dock performs at least the same or better as other docks (as far as heat goes). Also this thing turns off almost completely when the deck is not on. No visible power going to the usb devices, m.2, or ethernet (which all other docks continued to power after deck power off). I don't know if they made any changes since those reviews but it has exceeded my expectations.

I’ve been using the JSAUX M.2 Docking Station for a few months, and overall, it's solid! It compliments the functionality of my Steam Deck very well. The HDMI output is fantastic—super crisp 4K at 60Hz, and it pairs perfectly with my external monitor for gaming. The gigabit Ethernet port is excellent for maintaining a stable connection, especially for downloads. The M.2 SSD slot is probably my favorite feature. I previously used a JSAux dock without this feature and it was worth the upgrade. Setting it up was straightforward, and it’s been great having the extra storage without sacrificing portability. Transfer speeds are decent too—definitely a step up from using external drives. The dock itself feels sturdy, and I like that it doubles as a stand. That said, I did notice it sits a bit high, which can partially block the vents on the Steam Deck. Not a dealbreaker, and I simply offset how I set the deck in the doc to help ensure maximum airflow, but something to be mindful of, especially during longer gaming sessions. All in all, it’s a great dock with just a couple of minor quirks. If you’re looking to level up your Steam Deck setup, this is definitely worth considering!
