Breezes through cats matts
Very satisfied using this blade. Made easy work gliding through a matted Persian cat. Quality blade highly recommended.

Andis Excellence
Bought for my cockapoo of 3 years of age. I've always clipped at home as her coat grows so quickly and I'm a cheapskate (forty quid every month or so is an outrage). My clippers are Andis Ultraedge and preferring a longer coat I've always used their 3/4" 19mm Ceramic Blade. However I have found problems with that, it's excellent for the body but it's doesn't really do 'enough' on the top of her head, cheeks, chin, neck, belly, or legs; they need to be shorter. I ended up using the scissors a lot of those places and that took a long while, looked uneven, ended up giving hand cramps, and basically makes a joke of having spent two hundred smackers on clippers. So I got these 3/8" 9mm as they (in theory) leave half the amount of hair. The result? I'm delighted. The areas I just said are all shorter than the body hair BUT it doesn't look as if they are much shorter. The coat looks even even though it is not. The slightly shorter legs/belly length its much easier to shower her clean after a run in the mud. I'm told ceramic runs cooler that metal, but that makes sense and they clip excellently. Honestly I wish I'd bought these 2 years ago

a close shave
A bit of a mixed feeling with these. The actual Andis cutters are amazing and you know you've got a winner and spent around £100. There's no doubt they look and feel the part: they have excellent build quality and they're made to last and cut quietly and quickly. The thing is, the blades for them are awkwardly expensive as it is, without the need to buy the 'ceramic' model over the 'ultra edge' to avoid a problem they shouldn't be having in the first place: rusting.I suppose what i'm trying to say is, yes the ceramic blades are great, but at £30+ for a blade...it's a begrudged purchase. The ultraedge is nearer the £20 mark, but they rust horribly...and they really shouldn't. Kind of feel forced into buying the ceramic model.I would recommend the ceramic model...but only if the price comes down a bit.

Faulty Product with parts missing
Blade doesn’t work as 2nd part of the blade is missing so it doesn’t cut. 1st photo is blade received. 2nd photo is what the blade should look like. Amazon says that this can’t be returned… what a joke!

Speeded up the job
My clippers came with a size 10 blade and i bought a set of plastic magnetic combs to vary length for my home grooming. However these are a bit unwieldy and it was taking quite a while so i spread the job over a couple of sessions/days.I had taken a one-day course on grooming your dog at home and recalled I mostly used the 4 blade.Tilly's coat is quite thick and curly but this new blade really did speed up the proceedings and that alone makes it worth the cost! The ceramic element also meant the blade did not heat up too much. When it got a bit warm i just changed to the 10 and did her paw fur.She is a Cavachon.
