There are no recesses or protrusions for the bottom edge of the device to rest into or onto as you expect. Look carefully at the picture in the listing:-that line under the bottom edge of the device is actually a FOLD in that side of the case and if you rest it on your lap, the whole thing becomes floppy. On a flat surface, the device simply slides forward and is NOT held at an angle. Unfortunately I left it too late to return so now I have to bin this and again look for and buy a PROPER case!
