The Walking Dead Volume 4
Make no mistake - this is one of my best "buys" of recent months. I hadn't read any of TWD comics before but had heard many good things about them. I therefore decided to buy the first four volumes as a "taster". I loved the books and actually ended up buying the much larger Compendium books (volumes 1 & 2) which collate the all of the "Volume" books up to Volume 15 or thereabouts. So my suggestion is: if you are intent on buying this, go ahead - the quality of paper, binding and print is fantastic. That said, if you think you might get "hooked" on these comics, you may want to go for the two Compandium books, which are even better value for money.

The drama within the graphic novels is so much more compelling than the TV show. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Zombie action on kindle fire
Or less action, more pondering this people cope with harsh life after a zombie apocalypse. The cliff hanger from the last issue is quickly resolved, leading onto this issues focus which is the rising discord building in the group. No spoilers in my review though, or at least minimal. There is a new character introduced in this issue, causing tension amongst group, but undeniable coolness of fighting zombies with a sword! Artwork suits story, although is not outstanding. Works well on kindle, with panel view, double click to enlarge & then just tap left if screen & enjoy. Try and stop self reading in one sitting, if can

Have bought all the volumes for my son who is a massive Walking Dead fan. We do all watch the TV programme together, but he loves these graphical novels, they are very well drawn and the story is a little different from the TV program so if you enjoy the program I think these are a great read. :)

Totally hooked on the TV series so thought I would give the comics a go - I'm not normally a fan of comics but I love these. It's so different to the book and yet close enough that you know who is who.I would have loved to build up a collection of books but they are so expensive that I am now downloading the compendiums via Google. It's a shame that these aren't available for the kindle.

Different from the TV series but it is still fun
Every character (or most characters) is striving to act within the ambit of decency, but what is decency in this social setting? A lot to think about.
