Dr recommended
This product came highly recommended by my husband’s doctor for a dropped foot. The PT guy was very impressed with how well it works and the level of support. It’s very simple to use and a great help for my husband. The PT guy told me he’s started recommending it to his clients.

Great brace for foot drop
This brace is well designed and easy to use, but it broke after 8 months of intermittent use. I'm updating my prior review to say that JOMECA reached out to me with a full refund, no questions asked. I've been researching replacement braces since mine broke and I'm still convinced that this is a good choice and I have purchased another one. It's good to see the manufacturer stand behind their product.

Worked better after modification
I've been using this brace for about 4 months. After a few weeks of steady walking, I was able to walk without my stick on fairly level ground. I adjusted the front location of the strap by inserting a #5 machine screw and nut into the front lace openings, moving the rotation further forward. This worked for a while and then the locking button kept being opened by the cable. The tighter I wanted it, the more the lock opened. I then started lacing my running shoe over the top of the cable and this worked well so far. No fraying after daily use sometimes taking on and off 4-5 times. Wish they had a device for Tevas. Miss my sandals.

Does not work from the very beginning.
We ordered this and it appears broken. we could not get the reel to release the metal cable.. So we ordered a replacement. It did not work. We ordered a third. It would not work on any of the three of the braces we ordered. Order #1 did not work - we thought it was bad luck to have one that arrived broken. So we ordered another and same thing, the steel reel would not budge. We ordered a third. Does not work. No help or videos online. DO NOT BUY this product.

Good but not strong enough for heavy and active working
The device works, I have multiple Saebos which this design is based on. The problem with the Saebo is price and string strength. I have MS and my drop foot is more like push foot my foot is always pushing down. This device works but if you have MS and you are active at all you will break the plastic tabs that hold the tensioner in. I bought two of these because of the price. I would have stayed with the Saebo if they used the wire string that this one uses. The first one failed first week and the second one I bought to see if I could redesign so it won't break. Not possible. Both devices work as intended but need design changes to make stronger when you are working. For light use walking around the house it works fine.

Broke after 5 months
Worked well liked the ability to increase the tension of the lift of foot. Wire broke while walking after 5 months of use!

This Brace is a game changer. Patient can reel up/adjust the tension to lift the toes comfortably.
During my hip replacement surgery, my surgeon fractured my proximal femur. To support the fracture, my surgeon in Metairie decided to install Cerclage wire around the fracture. But the installation of the wire instead entrapped AND PUNCTURED my Sciatic nerve. I woke up with a dead left leg, Drop Foot was the diagnosis. The SOS surgeon never told me that he had fractured my femur and installed the wire. I was told that surgical inflammation was the cause of my “Drop Foot,” but most of my outer left leg was affected. No sensation except for lesions in my left foot. Pain was indescribable. My foot was dragging, I had no control over it. This brace was a Game Changer. A patient can use the reel to lift one’s toes. The brace around the ankle was comfortable, even with tension lifting the toes.

Seemed like a great product. Popped out, first use. Put it back together but popped out every time. Finally something snapped and that was it. I had reached out to the seller and they offered full refund or a replacement. I will be receiving a replacement. I initially left a one star review but this company clearly has excellent customer service. I hope the replacement is better.

I purchased this foot drop brace with high hopes about three months ago. Initially, I was very pleased. The design is thoughtful, it was comfortable to wear, and provided the support I needed for daily walking and specific physical therapy exercises. For light use, the concept is great. However, the durability of the materials is a massive letdown and renders the brace unusable in a very short period. Here are the critical flaws I experienced: Poor Quality Velcro: After just a few weeks of use, the Velcro straps lost their ability to stick securely. This is a fundamental failure for a device that relies on a tight, secure fit. I resorted to using zip ties to keep the brace fastened, which is a ridiculous "fix" for a medical aid device. Catastrophic Metal Wire Failure: The zip tie solution was working until the next critical part failed. The metal wire used to adjust the tension of the brace snapped completely. This broke the core mechanism of the brace and made it entirely unusable. There is no way to repair this. Conclusion: It's incredibly frustrating because the underlying design is effective. If the manufacturer updates the design with higher-quality, more durable materials—especially on the Velcro and that critical metal wire—this could be a 5-star product. As it is now, I can only cautiously recommend it for very light, occasional indoor use or supervised exercises. I would not trust this brace for any vigorous activity like running, trail walking, or significant hiking. It simply will not hold up. For the price, I expected a product that would last more than three months. I cannot recommend this specific model until its construction is significantly improved.

My physiotherapist recommended this product for me after back surgery. I kept tripping and falling, which was not a good thing. I was afraid I was going to break a hip, it turned out the nerves in my toes were impacted from surgery and I so I was dragging them a little. This is very easy to put on. It’s very comfortable. Just remember you have to tighten it throughout the day. I have had it for almost a month and I haven’t fallen again.
