MELIFE Transistor Meter LCR-TC1 Multi-Function Tester 1.8" Full Color Display Transistor Meter Capacitor Resistor Transistor LCR ESR NPN PNP MOSFET.: desertcart.com: Industrial & Scientific Review: No instructions and be very careful with caps - Pretty handy little tester. No instructions, but plenty of videos etc on the internet. They include a 10uF cap as a sample to measure. There's a caution printed right on the front saying to discharge caps. Ok, got it. What they don't say is this tester can charge that cap up and leave it charged. So always discharge cap even if you "know" it wasn't charged before. The KEY thing to know is the test fixture A and K sockets are only for zener diodes ONLY, and produces fairly high voltage. And doesn't discharge after the test. A simple instruction sheet or better front panel labeling would be very helpful. All the other test points (1,2,3) are like, plug in anything, in any order, and it will figure it out. Unless it's a charged up cap. Then it doesn't figure anything out, ever again. Review: Try another option... - It worked for almost a month, then anything I measured showed as a zener diode.

Try another option...
It worked for almost a month, then anything I measured showed as a zener diode.

Works pretty well
Decent tester, works well with transistors. On diodes, it identifies polarity but tends to provide low diode voltage values (in part because it uses very low currents). I did not measure many capacitors with it, but it worked well when I did (cross-checked against other meters).

Very cool device
Great for checking transistors and diodes. Less accurate than even a cheap multi-meter for resistors, though.
