A well-designed device.
This is good for homes with natural gas power. CO detectors are not the same thing. The instructions are brief and simple. Best features include an alarm that is loud enough to wake you up but because it is not a shrill beep, it doesn't cause you to panic. Also, the thing sounds off at levels which the gas reaches before the threat of an explosion is high. Really worth the money.

Natural Gas Detector and Propane Detecto
I purchased this for a good friend who recently installed a propane heater that is directly vented through the wall. He just wanted to make sure that their were no leaks in the room that it was installed. The detector works great. He was assured that he did not have any leaks.

Good volume and easy to understand
I’ve bought two of these detectors. I had previously bought another product which had good reviews and a reasonable price. However, when one of the other products was activated the “alarm” amounted to a barely audible beeping. This product has a very loud alarm with lights and provides useful spoken information. I bought one in July 2023 and, after being satisfied I bought another in 12/23. I have one in the kitchen and one in my basement near the gas furnace.

I feel safer now that this is installed in my Condo
I did some research before purchasing this and found it was highly recommended. It was easy to install, I wanted it to detect natural gas from my stove, and gas fireplace inside my Condo. I placed it at the proper height form the ceiling and distance from the stove. It was easy to stick to the wall with the adhesive. The voice is loud enough for me to hear upstairs. I feel safer now that this is installed. I highly recommend this product.

Failed quietly early on without warning
Bought two of these in December 2020 and tested over stove with gas on but not ignited and they detected gas. I installed one in main kitchen 4 feet away from stove at 7 feet high, which is an acceptable position. It never detected gas when left open, and there have been numerous instances of forgetting to turn the gas off. Fortunately, the person living in the basement apartment has smelled the gas and come up to warn us, many times. Recently, we retested the gas detector over stove with two burners on but unlit – it never detected the gas and always displayed “0”, as usual. The test button works fine with bold audio warning; the detector has always been powered on. So, it has probably been non-functioning over a year, a period in which our super-sensitive renter has been detecting gas a floor away. So, this failed early and provided no security. We should have de-installed/retested both and replaced them. Now we will use our gas company and research to find a reliable gas detector. And it seem risky to test with gas after installation - how long to leave gas on?

Very good product at a great price.
Plugged in , waited a minute or so for it to warm up & go Into working mode thenPlaced just above stove burner, turned the stove burner knob on ( not ignited, just propane raw gas) & within 2 seconds the detector number started quickly going up with alarm. This detector Tested absolutely perfect.I then gutted out the original broken propane detector because it's existing hole was larger then the new detector and I wanted to install the new one in the same spot. So removed the old detector, gutted the insides so just the housing remained. Installed the new detector wall mount plate onto the face of old detector shell using the 2 screws provided. Cut the 120v AC Plug End off the new detector cord, ( if you do this make sure you only cut the plug end of the cord ( the end with 2 metal prongs). Inserted cut end of cord into and out of the old empty plastic housing, now with the detector power cable inside the cabnit, I chose to wire it directly into a existing junction box. (The detector Blue & Brown wires are connected to the 120v WHITE (Neutral) & BLACK (Hot) wires. It does not matter which color wire from the detector is connected to the white or black wire. JUST INSURE only 1 colored wire is connected to the 120v black wire and the other to the 120v White.)

It worked!
We have had this plugged in for a little over a year. We noticed it was bouncing between 3 and 4 some, but we never smelled any gas. This morning the alarm went off when it hit 5. We had the gas company out and sure enough they found a leak near our furnace and they said it probably picked up the smell coming out of the air vents. So this definitely worked!
