Do you think a 5 and a half year old would be too old for this toy for christmas? he loves lego but also loves magnets and construction. many thanks

My 6 and 7 year old have enjoyed playing with it but it was bought for my 2 year old. The older children need more pieces to make it worth while. It is a good science based toy as they enjoy playing with the magnets and working out which attract and which don't.
