An on/off switch is located on the back of the solar panel.They are waterproof so can be used all year round and I love that they are charged by the sun so no electricity bills for me!My husband has positioned them in the patio area of our garden to add some lighting and is very pleased with these lights.I enjoy leaving reviews to help others in their purchasing decisions and hope my review has helped today, and if it has please click the "Yes" button below my review. If you have not found my review helpful then please let me know so I can improve my reviews in future ### ⭐⭐⭐ OK but battery life is poor on a cloudy day *by B***Y on 12 November 2017* I bought two sets and already had four similar versions of a different make (from Amazon with a thicker solar panel). These do not last as long, three hours in poor light and they (and the panels) are mounted on a South facing wall, high above any obstructions. The first set that have two light settings and can go all night in avg/poor light. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made, well priced solar garden spotlights *by L***K on 24 March 2017* A pair of bright spotlights on long cables attached to a solar panel. the lights shine a warm whiteA great garden accessory to highlight a planting area or a dark patch. Make sure the panel gets some sunshine as this makes a huge difference to the strength of the battery. I charged mine for a couple of days before using to give the battery the best chance of a longer life.
