The instructions are only partially literate, but you can mostly figure out what they mean. The carrying case is nice, but the instructions don't really fit inside the pocket. They do include a screwdriver that helps you put the batteries in the back. I like that you aren't likely to have the back come off because of that screw.

The product seems to be well made, however, the company making it either has no quality control program or the program doesn't actually test their own products.The manual has small fonts and is hardly readable. Touching the two probes in Ohms test, I can't get Zero. The unit displays changing numbers like it can't make up its mind. I have two multimeters which agrees on the battery voltage. They gave consistent reading on the battery tested and the number did not change if I switch the probes. Not with this meter. The other meters consistently read 1.6 V off the battery. This one read 1.4V or 1.8V depending on the probe placement. It's as if you get the "correct" reading by averaging the readings......A laughable proposition for a meter. It seems can't read high Ohms. I have device with resistance higher than 2M Ohms. This products consistently read OL, as open.I thought I was delivered a lemon, so I ordered a replacement. The replacement behave exactly the same way and worse!This is a product I don't want to own even for free.

This meter is easy to use with clear digital screen and directions. It is lightweight and very portable. Everything fits easily into the case provided.

I have a number of meters that look exactly like this one, although under various brands names, so I am not new to use or review of these.The manual is explanatory enough, providing you can handle the small font and have some experience in using meters. There were no real surprises as I went through test readings on all things A/C, D/C, current, resistence, etc. One thing I did note was the range when using the non contact voltage (NCV) feature. It worked and was adequate, but I needed to be closer to the power source vs my other meters, which generally start detecting voltage within 18". This one was more like 6". It gives off an audible tone as well as a 3 bar LED indicator when close to the live voltage source.For new meter users, the auto-ranging ability of this is helpful vs trying to select the correct scale manually with more basic meters. The probe length is 36", with each probe's business end having the typical removable shroud to expose more of the tip.For those who might think there is something wrong with this meter if a reading fluctuates and won’t settle, there is a way to zero this meter to stop that if it is the meter causing the issue and not the item being tested. And yes, you can expect some variation from one reading to the next if repeatedly testing the same battery, for example. All meters indicate calibration tolerances, and this one is no different.It comes with a small phillips head screwdriver to remove the battery door, and a couple batteries to get you up and running right away. This is a great meter that can handle what most home owners and auto repair DIY’s will encounter. For dedicated small electronics repair enthusiasts, this will definitely lack the scaling ability and sensitivity required. However, for it’s intended use around my house, this is perfectly acceptable and a decent value.

The kit is nice and complete with a decent case, good probes and even a screw driver to unscrew the tiny screw for the battery compartment. Unfortunately the tiny screw is not secured in the back of the battery case so when I unscrewed it, the screw fell to the floor and disappeared. While I realize this is my fault, I think this is a design flaw as a screw that small should never come out of the compartment in my opinion. So the back of the case is held in now by a rubber band.Everything else about this meter is great. I like the performance, the readings seem accurate, the display is easy to read and its simple to use. The loss of the screw does bug me though as I see it every time I use the meter.

Safety, accuracy. What else coud you ask for. This does it all. It is worth every penny.
