This is a very pleasant whole bean coffee from born hill.  The aroma is mild but enjoyable.  The beans are truly whole, I did not come across any broken beans or little shards so far.  The roast is a mostly balanced medium roast, with the majority of the beans having a pleasant coffee brown color (coincidentally).  I make very strong french press coffee,  which I dilute by making a latte using almond milk, with a splash of cream and a touch of agave.  For this review, I had my coffee both black and as a latte. This has a very woodsy flavor.  It is mild, with no real bitter notes to speak of at all.  It does advertise itself as a low acid coffee, so this is not surprising.  When I say woodsy it just reminds me of the woods but in a pleasant way.  Not grassy, so much as the smell of tree bark, but once again pleasant.  Maybe like a cherry wood or even an oak.  I am giving this 5 stars for having an excellent roast, no cracked beans (so far), having a pleasant flavor, being low acid,  and my biggest reason the price of 85 cents per ounce (day of review), making these beans a very good value.
