The tip of this cane is badly designed! The rubber pad is a very thin ring held in place by an exposed metal stud, the tip of which is only a few millimetres below the surface of the ring. In use for less than a month that rubber ring suffered a great deal of degradation and has now dropped off entirely! I have had to purchase a 19mm inner diameter sleeved rubber foot-pad and have slipped it over the entire end of the cane - that works, but of course the ferrule around the cane foot is now entirely concealed!

It's a heavy cane, coming in four pieces that have to be joined together. It looks pretty, but it's not built for walking. The tip disintegrated within ten minutes of walking out with it on level ground. It needs a ferrule to be usable as a walking cane.Note, too, that it can't be cut to length.
