Tricky install if Pi also has heatsinks.
My Pi3 already had the GorillaPi heatsinks attached but was still getting warm so I bought this case with fan to provide a bit more cooling. From what I could establish, the Pi3 with Gorilla heatsinks should fit inside the GorillaPi case and fan.however, there were are few installation issues:1. The instructions are online (nothing with the case) and the online instructions don't tell you which way up to install the fan. Turns out the fan should be installed with the label facing the CPU.2. When installed, the fan touches the top of the CPU heatsink. This is why you have to have the fan label facing the CPU because the other way round, the fan blade is touching the heatsink and it doesn't rotate.3. Having got the fan installed the right way up, everything worked nicely until I stood the Pi on end (so the fan was vertical). At this point the fan blade started to hit the Pi case and made a bit of a racket. When the case was laying horizontally (with the fan facing up) it was fine. As soon as the fan was vertical (or upside down), the blade hit the case.In the end I had to mount the fan on the outside of the case.The Pi now runs a lot cooler. :)Bonus brownie points for providing extra bolts and screws.

A great case but lacking instructions
Looking at the price of this case, some might question the potential quality - Those people would be wrong.The case is strong and sturdy, it doesn’t take long to put together. The bundled fan fits well but the wiring is quite long, this means you have to route and tuck it into places.My only gripe is that there are no instructions, so you have to put together by looking at the Amazon pictures. It’s a small issue, having straightforward instructions would mean me giving it 5-stars. Don’t let that put you off though, if you’re after a fan cooled case, this one is pretty damn good!

Fits my Pi 2 like a glove
Fits my Pi 2 like a glove. At no point did I think I was going to break either the pi or the case as the fitting was a breeze. Cannot hear the fan but it’s definitely spinning. Brilliant case for the price. Instructions were vague for the actual fitting but you don’t need a degree in engineering to work out how to put two pieces around a pi.

Boom! 67c to 42! Job done.As has been mentioned , place with fan label on inside and remove heatsinks off the bottom of the pi (main one is still OK) or it won't fit in the case.

Great, sturdy feeling case and easy to put together.The fan is entirely silent, in fact I was convinced it wasn't working until I pressed my ear against the case. Even then I had to turn my pi off to see the fan stop to convince myself, but sure enough it works and reduced CPu temp by around 20 degrees (in the summer).All in all a great case for the price, would definitely recommend

Excellent item that cured my overheating problem. Tiny little fan but it did the trick in my pi, no more crashes, stuttering video or annoying little high temp icon.
