I'm very impressed with this USB Type C to DisplayPort cables from Uni. Like a lot of cable brands, I've not heard of Uni before but there's plenty of unusual brand names out there these days that still make decent quality products and with much lower prices. This cable isn't as cheap as other brands but it has thousands of positive reviews which is always a good sign. The cables are actually quite thick and could be compared to a piece of 5A mains cable or a thick ethernet cable. This means it's less flexible than say, a basic HDMI cable, but for a permanent computer and monitor set up this is unlikely to be a problem. It should also mean than the cable is well shielded inside and less likely to suffer from interference. It also has nylon braiding around it which is a nice touch and means it'll less likely to get tangled up. It fits perfectly into my laptop and G-Sync monitor. One thing to bear in mind is that this cable doesn't have the securing clips that you have to press to release the cable from the Display Port. I actually find these tend to be a nightmare when trying to unplug because they plug into the bottom of my monitor upwards and it's really hard to press the button and remove the cable without feeling like you're ripping the port off the main board! I guess if you are constantly moving your monitor or laptop about then the cable is more likely to come out on its own but I suspect that's unlikely. I'm using 3m version of this cable to connect a 1440p @ 144Hz G-Sync monitor to my Razer laptop and it works perfectly with no loss of picture etc. I can't confirm if they work for 4k @ 60Hz but I've had cables that couldn't do 1440p @ 144Hz without causing the screen to flicker on and off constantly and that doesn't happen with this. Really impressed with these cables. You just buy it and connect to your devices. It will be steady and solid. You wont be touching it again. Very good quality. Never experienced any signal drops or connection issues.

So since lock down, I have been working from home. Home setup has two 29" dells monitors so I wanted to use the spare ports to plug my work Mac into them, so I bought this along with another one with mini dp. To be clear it works, I get a great picture and the cable seems to be working, my only critique, and to be fair this may be nothing to do with the cable and more to do with USB C, it does odd things to the monitor when it comes to power save. If I step away from the MAC and it goes into Power Save, the screen wont go into Power save but more importantly it wont come back on. I have seen other people with a similar issue and if I use just one screen on the Apple AV adaptor and HDMI, no issues at all. Its probably a USB C issue rather then the cable. Recommended but with caution, I have taken to power off the MAC at night rather then sleeping and the issue goes away, so almost sure its a USB C issue but you never know!

Bought it for my MacBook to connect to the monitor. Works really well, it’s braided so it’s durable and the wire is very long. Picture quality is great too. I don’t have a 4k monitor so didn’t really get to use it to its full potential but it was great on my HD monitor. It also doesn’t heat up during prolonged use. Tried using it to connect a mobile phone to the monitor but it didn’t work that way it seems.

Good quality cable to connect a laptop to a Dell monitor that has only one input port, which is a display port. The dispatch was prompt and delivered the next day as expected. The cable is braided and looks well constructed and presented at a reasonable price.
