What length is best for a 5th grade class field day?

I understand from researching that you will want about 2' per person and some room in the center. It depends on how many people (old/young) on each end. If  you go by the 2' rule, you should be able to have 10-13 kids on each end (or more) depending on what size they are.

Would this work for a pull out rope on a Jeep?

Our Jute rope's largest diameter is only 1" and the breaking strength is 1,500lbs, so no, I don't think that will work well for a pull-out rope, unless your pulling something out of somewhere that is under that breaking strength. 
I would suggest our California Truck Rope. Our largest diameter on that is 5/8" and its breaking strength is 5,600lbs.
