REPLACEMENT RECLINER CABLE WITHOUT TAPER SPRING FOR RECLINERS ARW16L

Years ago, when the int33rnet searches were nowhere near as good, I couldn’t find anywhere that sold this type of cable, so I used a bike brake cable. It worked, but it took me nearly 3 hours of very hard work.Having found this company (received item next day - I received notice of item sent within less than an hour of ordering!!), I was not looking forward to trying again. Needn’t have worried, it only took me 15 minutes and part of that was finding some tape to pull through the new cable using the old. Fitted it easily and perfectly.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Easy ordering and quick delivery. Removed the broken cable and fitted new cable in a couple of minutes. Most important to get the correct “free play” length correct. The overall length of cable is not so important provided it is long enough. The one I purchased was identical to the original. A little stiff at first but little thin grease solved that. The cable has been on now for a few months and works fine. Overall a good purchase at a sensible price.

Not the cheapest on Amazon but a supplier who gives enough information on the product to pick the right one. They have 10 varieties and others just show a picture (?) wih no lengths / different end fittings, etc.Spent some time measuirng the old one and ordered this, 5 minute swap, good all round.

My original cable snapped two months after the warranty had expired,The cable arrived quickly. I had doubts if I ordered the right one but the advice when ordering was spot on.I fitted the cable and tried it out, without fully refitting the handle. Disappointment, it didn't work. Looking at another chair highlighted the route the cable took was slightly wrong and when changed worked perfectly. The handle pull is now noticeably stiffer than the other chairs I have, but this is more like the rest were when new.Any one with a broken cable I would recommend doing this yourself, its not that difficult and will save you lots of money. Also the hassle of fitting it is insignificant and not worth putting up with a broken recliner. Buy this as its a good quality product.

The cable on one of the recliners on a two seat sofa snapped recently and after removing it and browsing Amazon I found what looked like a suitable replacement. I contacted the seller by phone who confirmed that I had selected the correct cable so I ordered two (in preparation for when the other side inevitably did the same!)The items arrived the next day, which was not at all expected!, and I soon had it fitted to the sofa and can now release the recliner to recline the seat. Excellent service and product does exactly as stated.

Replaced broken cable on my recliner with this cable. Important to order correct cable as all different, I had already replaced one previously so knew what to order & it came very quickly. Relatively easy to fit hardest part being getting old clip out of its fitting. A tip if you haven't done one before is to tape the new cable to the old one & pull it through so as to follow the correct route through the chair.

Very pleased - perfect replacement for the one that had broken on our settee. Bit of messing about getting it fitted and if your thinking of doing it yourself like I did then I would recommend that you have a piece of string handy to tie round the cable that your taking out which can then be used to pull the new cable back through the same cable path. On my settee you could not get to the path the cable ran through without causing damage. Would definitely buy again but make sure you order the correct type using the guide provided by the supplier.

They came quickly and the sofa now reclines again. They were not too hard to fit and using a string to pull the new one through as you remove the old is my best tip!
