Bristle Fun!
My son loves these bristle blocks. We first saw them when his speech therapist bought them to our house and my son just adored them. He has so much fun building stuff and great price for how many you get in the package.

Entertaining and fun for the whole family
We LOVE these blocks. I have a 2.5 year old son and was trying to find him some blocks he could use to create interesting shapes with that would be easy for his small hands to connect. These are perfect! Easy to connect (there was a little bit of a learning curve at first but he caught on quick), and so many possibilities! He has already figured out how to create a few animals and his own version of himself, which is cute. He has also created many airplanes. It makes him feel very accomplished and proud of himself. I will warn you- if your kid is like mine they may take apart all of the wheels in this set of blocks. My kid loves to take apart everything he can, and the wheels of these blocks can be stripped down into pieces so that they don't work as wheels anymore, which is a little annoying. If you or your kid ends up wanting to build with wheels after they've done this, you have to figure out how to put the wheels back together (which is a hassle, because it requires 3 or 4 different small pieces that make up one working wheel). This doesn't take anything away from how much I love the blocks, I just wanted to give you a fair warning and maybe let the creators know they should create a wheel that is one whole piece that can't be taken apart or just not include wheels in a set. I do intend on buying another set eventually when my kids get older and have more intricate plans, but for now my kiddos are very entertained with just this one set of 112 pieces.

Toys I enjoyed at 4 yo, still have mostly the same feel...
...if slightly lighter in weight. some of the pieces are odd, like the wheels. To me bristle blocks were something I just felt I needed to buy for my toddler/youngin'. As a child in kindergarten, these were an early introduction to just mashing things together brute force style, which is a fun alternative to blocks, when preschoolers and kindergartners are learning how to use their hands. 4/5 stars since I would have liked maybe a better block choice and some of the pieces just don't seem as durable as I remember them. These blocks should last a long time though.

Blocks that are more enjoyable than legos
I purchased these for my 2 year old grandson. Out of all the toys he received that day, this was his favorite. He and his 3 1/2 year old brother were fighting over the blocks.

... local store (represented by concentric red circles) that was like, 60+ pieces
We got a set of Bristle Blocks from a local store (represented by concentric red circles) that was like, 60+ pieces, and then realized after a day or two of playing with our 3-year old son that that was not enough, so I hopped on Amazon and ordered this set for him. They are wonderful, especially if your toddler/preschooler likes building things! There aren't too many ways for these pieces NOT to fit, so it is easy to let ones imagination fly. We were able to make cats, dogs, cars, houses, eyeglasses, airplanes, etc. The pieces won't do diagonally easily, and some design choices were odd for the edges of the rectangular pieces, which my husband found baffling (I will upload pictures later). But those are really minor nitpicky complaints, truly. I had thought building block related toys were limited to just blocks and Legos (and Tegus and Magformers, which we have) - but these definitely have expanded my horizons! They are such an excellent toy, and I like that they are designed to encourage creativity.

Classic and Sturdy!
I had these when I was a child, and my mother always said that these blocks were some of my favorite toys. When my son was younger, though, I don't recall seeing these. So when I saw them just before his 9th birthday, I decided to buy him a set, and I took a risk that he may think they were too young for him. I'm happy to say that they really aren't! He and his sister (who is almost 8) have had a great time playing with these, and they've brought back some fun memories. Also, I like that they aren't too large or cumbersome to store. These seem like classic blocks that I may even save when they outgrow them (I've already decided to save their Little People as well--another good classic). Highly recommend these fun blocks!
