## Description

With well over a decade of research and development went into making the Infiniti R100 one of the most popular rowing machines on the market. The Infiniti R100 Rowing Machine is a premium product, designed and built to the highest standards. The R100 features one of the most sophisticated on-board workout consoles, and addresses key consumer feedback on rowing machine noise and capability to enable full stroke for taller users. The R100 has a magnetic air resistance system that provides 16 resistance levels that automatically adjust during the course of each program. The fabulous on-board workout console features 42 pre-set programs that provide both variety and motivation for even the most demanding users. Also Included is a heart-rate control program feature that enables users to input their desired heart rate training range, the computer then automatically adjusts resistance levels to keep you within your desired training zone. The R100 stores data for up to 5 users. The super-smooth R100 is much quieter than competing models, yet is rugged enough to accommodate people up to 150kg in weight. The R100 folds for easy storage. The combination of superior technology and excellent build quality puts the R100 in class of its own. Please Note: The Infiniti Heart Rate Transmitter is optional. Review: Great alternative to a Concept 2 - When you are spending £600 for a rowing machine, the question is should you go up to 860 and buy a Concept 2? Well I have owned both now and each machine has its pros and cons but if you are a Concept 2 fan, the point is that you will be not be disappointed and may even prefer this. The main benefit is that the seat is wider and much more comfortable than a Concept 2, with a rowing setup just as good. It's also worth noting that this newer model is better than what the older reviews have posted. I see one person mentioned that the monitor had them rowing at 1.35 minutes per 500m; this has been corrected and the pace measurement is very accurate to what you see on a Concept 2. There are 24 levels of resistance and a myriad of workout programs (most probably won't use many) as well as a heart rate monitor which takes a lot of moisture to work and seems to fade out sometimes (which is not a problem with the Concept 2). On the new version you can control the resistance level and menu with an infrared function on the rowing handle. It is not a very quiet machine but not very loud either, so not much difference there. It needs to be plugged in and there is no battery compartment on mine. It doesn't (from what I can see) store lifetime metres and the computer is a bit more complicated than a PM console but easy enough to figure after you've used it a few times. You can for example create a user profile and from the data stored, it will calculate how many calories you have burned during your rowing session. Longevity I understand has been a problem with some of the previous reviews. The Concept 2 is designed to be a one-off purchase and is simple and robust with parts/technical support for all the past models still available from their UK HQ, so that may be something you want to consider. I believe there is also quite an extensive warranty on the Infiniti parts but obviously I have had no experience yet with the technical support/communication from BodyMax. For someone who is not too bothered about setting times against others worldwide in your age group, racking up the metres and participating in the online challenges like you can do on the Concept log then this is an ideal machine - hopefully it works as well in the years to come. Ultimately the workouts are just as challenging, just as exhausting, more smooth, more comfortable and (admittedly during the short time i have had it) at very good value for money.
Review: Avoid - During assembly it turned out the seat did not fit as the holes are in the wrong place - i'm still waiting for a replacement. I managed to make some fixings in the end so i could actually use it while I'm waiting. Build quality is ok, but not £600 worth. If this cost £100 to ship id be very surprised. The computer is probably the worst bit. Its so embarrassing i cant believe they are selling it in 2018. It would have been bad in 1988. Functionality and graphics are shocking. The "recovery" or "fitness test" mode should be re named "random number generators" - I've used it 12 times and got results ranging from 35 - 100. I'm going to keep it as it was such a pain getting it here i now cant be bothered to send it back but honestly I'm gutted with it. Oh and the foot straps come loose while your using it so you need to stop and tighten them. Not to annoying.

### ⭐⭐ Little to no support if things go wrong.
*by A***L on 5 March 2018*

I have the older, silver version. Its OK to use when things are working fine. However, forget any assistance once the rower is out of warranty. To contact the only possible supplier of parts in UK is a mission impossible, to get the parts is even more difficult. Taiwanese wonder machine has next to no support so you are literally left to your own devices. Websites only offer to sell the whole units not even mentioning where to source the parts from, nothing, "0"!!!. As a brand this is DODO amongst the fitness equipment. Once it dies out its firmly dead and my clutch pulley has just packed up (one way bearing has became two ways) with less than average use. I will never touch anything other than Concept 2 rower. Expensive lesson learned.
