Metal Earth MMS201 T-34 Tank Construction Toy Metal Model

very fun - this was my first metal model to assemble with my 10 year old son. It's a bit too small and complex for him on his own so ended up doing most of it but that was ok as i enjoyed it immensely! Great way to enjoy a few hours in the afternoon

Bought these as stocking filler for my partner, great little model but unfortunately unless you have patience for a model with delicate details this isn't for you. I bought a few of these models for my partner, but with one mistake the model was ruined, no room for errors put it that way. It is also quite fiddly to put together so if your not good with putting together models with lots of small parts again this isn't for you. Would I buy again probably not. Would a buy a bigger model so less fiddly more likely.

Nachdem ich den Fascinations Metal Earth MMS203 - 502462, Tiger 1 Panzer, Konstruktionsspielzeug, 2 Metallplatinen, ab 14 Jahren gebaut hatte, musste der nächste her. Hier war der T-34 logische Konsequenz. Er war meiner Meinung nach etwas leichter aufzubauen als der Tiger, vielleicht war ich auch schon geübter. Was man braucht ist natürlich `ne Menge Fingerspitzengefühl, Geduld und gutes Feinmechaniker Werkzeug. Die Verarbeitung der beiden Metallplättchen war makellos, alle Teile konnten vernünftig rausgetrennt und verarbeitet werden. Die Anleitung ist einleuchtend und stellt einen nicht vor Probleme. Für ein bis zwei Abende hat man dann filigranen Bastelspaß und ein schickes kleines Modell zum Hinstellen. Spielen kann man damit eher nicht, ist eben Modellbau. Ich werde mir bestimmt noch das eine oder andere Modell dieses Herstellers kaufen.

I like this tank a lot. It can look good if you have a mix of experience, patience, tools, and good desk lighting. The instructions show the track and wheel assembly correctly placed, but the Fascinations website itself has several example pictures with the tracks flipped around to the wrong side and thus has the wheels backwards. There are flaws in how the lower front and back fit with the track assembly. The angle required to fit the tracks to the lower front is too steep and bows/deforms the upper front plate a little when the tracks are assembled in the proper direction. The lower back fitting on the tracks is not steep enough to allow for the lower front to be adjusted correctly. I like how the barrel is a solid piece. I had been concerned before I received the kit that it was another flat part which would require rolling/shaping. I used these tools to assemble this kit. Llega muy rápido. El armado es fácil aunque con algunas piezas un poco pequeñas. Buena opción para los que gustan de coleccionar este tipo de jueguetes.

This 2nd tank by Metal Earth that I have built. I would rate this one essentially the same as I did the Tiger Tank. Both kits are very detailed, and very fun to build. This kit contains a healthy number of pieces and is very involved, but not terribly difficult to make. The only significant rounding needed in construction is the wheels which are fairly easy. I would rate the difficulty of this kit as a 3.5 out of 5. Regarding bad reviews by others: Be careful when reading the bad reviews posted by some. Some people blame their inability to complete this style kit on the kit itself. Don't be fooled, the kit itself is very high quality. The detail is superb, and the metal pieces are sturdy if you don't bend them repetitively (as you would if you made a mistake). Hence, I continue to recommend these kits to experienced builders with good manual dexterity.
