I used to take Spirulina, but then I came across Humming Herbs' Full Spectrum Irish Moss complex, which seems to be the latest superfood trend. While there are a few similar products available, this one offers good value with 90 capsules per bottle. I'm pleased with my purchase. Some might need a bit of time for their stomachs to adjust, but it makes me feel healthier and provides all the essential vitamins and minerals I require.

I ordered this product because I wanted to try sea moss in a capsule format to avoid its awful taste. I've also had good luck with Humming Herbs products in the past, so I was hopeful. The winning streak unfortunately came to an end. I decided to take the recommended dosage of the product. A few hours after the first dose I had a slight runny nose, but it went away later that evening. The runny nose returned about two hours after the second dose, and it did not go away until I took an antihistamine about an hour before bedtime. At that point I decided to set the bottle aside, and the runny nose never returned. It's my guess that I had some sort of allergic reaction to one of the other two ingredients, and my guess was the burdock root. Taste and energy were not important. This is a difficult product to rate. It clearly didn't work for me, but I suspect it would work well for others, and the value is acceptable. I'm going to give this four stars, and hope that Humming Herbs decided to release a sea moss encapsulated product that contains no other ingredients than sea moss.

So there is a lot to like about this blend...and a few head scratching moments. But I think the good outweighs my questions. The Good: I have been taking various versions of Sea Moss for quite awhile and have seen some really good results. The addition of Bladderwrack and Burdock Root are what caught my eye with this bottle. I know many people who take those two ingredients as a combo and I was interested to see what kind of a triple threat was inside this bottle. The Sea Moss arrived super clean and secure. The entire bottle was shrink-wrapped top to bottom and the inner safety seal was tight and secure. The capsules are average size with no real odor or taste. Easy to swallow with no aftertaste or side effects. The trifecta of the ingredients has quite a bit of research behind it, but results are always so subjective so you'll have to make the call after going through the 90 day supply. I like the immune support that Sea Moss has shown in research, but personally I noticed the biggest difference in my skin. (Shout out to a great price for this many capsules, tho!) The Questions: I'm not a big fan of supplements not made in America, but this brand has gotten good reviews over the past few years, so I gave them a try. It was a bit of a struggle finding the manufacturing date and expiration date, since that entire block on the box was empty. They note that the product is best used within 24 months of being manufactured - on another spot on the box was an expiration date of only one year. So that means this bottle has been sitting around in some warehouse for a solid year. I think the 180/27/25 marking must be some version of the product and production date, but who knows for sure. When products are made overseas, I wish they paid more attention to the details that we need when the item(s) hit our shores. I see many people who have been using this brand for a long time and this bottle is clean, pure and untouched...but it will probably be my last. This one is a toss up for me.
