This is a low end jump rope but absolutely fine for leaving outdoors in the yard for impromptu use.

Good no-frills skipping rope if you are not too tall
This is a simple skipping rope with a 5mm plastic string. At first I thought it was not adjustable in length but it is: you pull the end out of the handles and pull down a locking sleeve, pull the cable through to the required length, then move the locking sleeve back up to secure. You will likely want to cut off the excess if the rope is just for you.I am just under 6 foot tall and the rope is about the right length without adjustment – so beware if you are taller as that is the maximum!The rope spins easily within the handles preventing any twisting.I had forgotten what an excellent workout skipping is and quite intensive exercise. Whew!
