What an awesome little Blu-ray player. It does it job. This player has no wifi or an ethernet port, which is awesome for its price. The blu-ray version of Ready Player One looks amazing. This player reminds me of the late 2000's budget dvd players. Awesome budget blu-ray player. Like many reviews has stated, there is no buttons on the player. You will need to rely on the remote which is inadequate and somewhat awkward if you have multiple remotes on your AV system. Unfortunately, you will need to source your own HDMI cable since the player does not come with one. Overall great player for those looking for a no-frills budget player from a reputable company such as Panasonic.

Great DVD Player. We have been buying blue ray DVDs for $1-$2 at thrift shops and that is far less than buying from streaming services. It's a lot of fun watching our collection of favorite movies grow. The DVD player functions flawlessly and doesn't seem to be bothered by very light scratches on the DVD. After having a few players die on us over the years, it seems like this one is well built and will last.

Very functional. Simple clean small. Easy to use. Seem to be durable. It has bounced a few times with the sound system. Picture quality seems to be spot on. Four stars. As it’s a bit noisy. lol. At least for my sensitive ears. But once it’s engaged and playing no noisy-ness.

Simple blu-ray player for a fair price. Win machines will not play blu-rays and I can't find a software package that allows it. I rip all my movies but if we want to watch prior to ripping it is there. Also helpful when ripping TV series since they don't always rip in progressive order

Best stand alone bluray player I've ever owned--has features too numerous to mention and super easy to setup--I've already thrown the original box away-I will not be sending it back for any reason

Do not buy this BD/DVD player. I had the exact same problem some other reviewers noted. I was watching a DVD yesterday with no problems (it is clean and in perfect condition) and I turned it off to go to bed. The next day it will not play. By the way, it is a retail US NTSC region disc of the TV show Shogun (1980). It is not a foreign film, a bootleg, or anything of the sort. I power cycled the system. Still would not work. I unplugged the system and left it for 10 minutes, plugged it back in. Still says incompatible. I tried another disc and it worked. Swapped back to Shogun, will not work again. I successfully performed a reset to factory settings by holding open/close button and "0" on the remote for 5 seconds, then toggling over to 08FIN and holding OK for 5 more seconds. After the reset, I powered the player back on, went through the setup again. The disc would still not play. I attempted to update the firmware. The menu shows version 1.09, but Panasonic's website shows the latest is 1.83. The player did not accept the firmware from Panasonic on any attempt, it just kept telling me my USB stick was incompatible. I tried two different USB sticks and an SD card in an SD card reader, and I followed the instructions in each case. I tried FAT, FAT32, and NTFS file systems for the USB sticks. No dice. I later found a comment here on Amazon saying Panasonic has a different numbering scheme for the current version and 1.09 IS the latest version. Thanks for the terrible support information Panasonic, I have to learn about the latest version from an Amazon comment? Anyway, I have tried everything to get this disc to play, and it simply will not play. It seems like it may play some OTHER discs, but how many times? Once? Twice? This defeats the entire purpose of owning a physical media player. By the way, it has warranty -- you have to pay for shipping both ways. Not worth it. This thing is going into to the trash and I will never, ever, buy a Panasonic product ever again.

Easy to set up. Good picture quality, able to use DVD, Blu-ray, or flash drive.

This Blu-Ray player is great. It seems to give an upscale picture and audio. It is compact and runs very quiet.

Llevo casi un año con él, es el primer blu-ray que he comprado y es bastante bueno. Sí eres de México y ya tienes peliculas DVD orginales puede que algunas no las reproduzca por ser region 4 (en México normalmente las peliculas dvd son region 4 y 1 o solo region 4). En cuanto a los blu-ray no deberia haber ningun inconveniente porque la region "A" es para todo el continente, he comprado muchas peliculas y series en bluray aqui mismo por amazon y todas han funcionado bien. Es bastante pequeño, así que puedes transportarlo facilmente y colocarlo casi en cualquier parte. A veces llega a hacer un poco de ruido cuando estas en el menú de la pelicula, aunque es minimo, una vez que le pones "play" ya no se oye nada. Otra ventaja es el puerto USB que incluye ya que puedes poner un disco externo para reproducir videos, cosa que las pantallas con usb luego no permiten o que solo funciona con memoria USB. Los menus de configuración son bastante intuitivos y como este modelo no incluye conexion a internet no tienes porque preocuparte por actualizar el firmware ni nada de eso. Lo recomiendo sin duda!

Estoy fascinado, este blu ray lee los DVD’s región 1! Me emociona mucho porque tengo una colección de grandes películas que nunca estuvieron en Región 4 y las tuve que comprar así. El aparato es pequeño pero sirve a la perfección.

Remote control doesn't work and this issue still hasn't been resolved.
