Cool lighting effects with an Arduino.
I have used these strands for years. Never had a bulb burn out. I usually buy a couple new sets a year. As long as you power them with 5 volts about 2.5 amps per string you can add more.

Perfect Xmas tree programmable LED strings
Grabbed these to join/start in the programmable club of LEDs. Work great! Super glad we got these the green wire means they blend perfectly into the Christmas tree. Really easy to figure out which wire does what just follow the wires onto the LED which connect to the side with the arrow to show which way the data goes. The 7” tree needed 6 strands to fill it out, ran some power injection and separate transformers so I could use the laptop type transformers as I have young children which the LEDS being 5v and fully water proof is great for kids too. Used in combination with WLED (Wi-Fi Xmas tree) and have them running from Xlights which my daughter loves to dance along too. Went ahead and put them on the Santa sign only needed 1 String which means I was able to power off USB. Wish they had a multi pack at a discount as would love to build more pieces, got the bug now that these strings made things super easy and Xmas decorations a lot more fun and interactive. Ordered 7 strings all arrived in perfect condition.

Good LED's suitable for inside or outside
These are nice LED's that can be used inside or outside. Note that you will need something to control them with. I'm currently using an Arduino to control them but have tested them with a simple controller that can be controlled with an IR remote as well. Due to the nature of the lights being 5 volts, connecting more then one string can cause the lights further down the chain to fade (especially on full white) when attaching more then one string of LED's. These lights are RGB so make sure any other lights are connecting to it are RGB as well. The IR remote that came with the lights produced Red lights when I clicked the Green button and vice versa.

Wires aren't labeled, but easy enough to figure it out
The wires are completely unlabeled.... It was not too bad figuring out, but I wish there was a little documentation. The super short lead with a plug on it is as follows: RED: 5V GREEN: Data WHITE: Gnd However, there are also two green wires sticking out of each end. Have to look at the first or last pixel to figure them out. For my set, the one with the black stripe was Gnd, the other +5V. As I only have one set, I can not be sure if each is manufactured with the wires the same way around. I ran a few sketches that cycle all of the pixels through their colors, and it does appear that they all work, and they are fairly bright. Overall I'm quite satisfied with this string of pixels!

The best Christmas lights, great for programming!
Amazing light for the cost. Very durable. They are waterproof and great for programming. The color options for the bulbs are great, whether you want them as white lights or dancing to music! They can be controlled by a computer!

Used to be great, but quality has dropped severely.
I've purchased over twenty WESIRI WS2811 strands in the last ten years for my Christmas tree. Until recently I never had a problem , but now I have 5 strands with a break somewhere in the chain.. Because of the way they're organized on our tree, when I add more strands everything gits shifted and the new ones end up in the back , so as far as I can tell around fifteen of the original (6-10 year old strands) are still going strong, and most (if not all) of the five failures are from the six strands I added last year. I would have preferred to add a few more of these strands - at over 1000 LEDs we don't have much room left - to keep everything consistent. But with so many of the last batch failing, I can't trust these any more - I need to find another source to replace the failed strands and fill in the last bit of expansion. Color matching could be a problem, but fortunately I've got my own custom controller for the LEDs, so I at least have the option of adjusting for color matching in the software. So these were great in the past. Maybe they'll be great again someday, but with a 60+% failure rate on the strands I added last year, I can no longer recommend these and I'm looking for other options.

Works great
It worked alright. I hooked them up to an ESP32 to run with WLED. Out of the 2 strips I bought only 1 LED has some issues. The entire LED and the board attached to it is potted in epoxy. Connectors are not water proof. I'd say it is not good for permanent fixtures for these reasons but good for hanging to places easy to each

Good cheap lights
These 5v lights work well but they are built with small wires so plan on adding power injection between every string of lights if you connect multiple strings together.
