Great headset, amazing customer service
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Last week I ordered this headset to use for on my PS4. I noticed the headset had a lot of bass, and a lot of the middle ground and higher noises were very muffled. I thought the headset might be broken, and mailed the customer service from Klim techs: and within less then 24 hours I got a mail back. They asked if I could explain what was wrong with the headset in detail, and after I did, I immediatly got a mail back saying they'll ship me a replacement without me having to send the other headset back, all for free! Today (3 days later) the headset arrived, and indeed the other headset was broken, since the sound of this one is really good, with all sounds being nicely balanced. I have never seen such good customer service in my whole life! AUDIO: Earlier this week I went to an electronic store to test out multiple headsets from 30-80 euros (brand like turtle beach, hypercloud, trust and razer). I can now tell that this headset is way better then those I've tested. I've tested the Klim Mantis on multiple games, like Uncharted, God of War, GTA, Dead by Daylight, and some more, and with none of the games it has dissapointed me. For multiplayer games this headset works very well. The sound is clear, and the virtual 7.1 surround sound work well. For singleplayer games I find that this headset has a nice amount of power, often giving me a cinematic vibe, which is great! Overall I can say the sound quality is very, very good. COMFORT & DURABILITY: The headset is also pretty comfortable. I have gamed for multiple hours without it hurting my ears or head. And whereas the headset looks heavy, it feels surprisingly light. I can't say anything about the durability myself, however the headset is very bendable meaning it shouldn't break when being dropped. The cable is also very strong, and should last way longer then the standard rubber cable. MIC: The mic is very clear. My friends are relieved cause I've used a crappy mic for the last two years. I've also recorded my voice with this mic and it sounds as ugly as ever, which in this case is a good thing! Overall I am very happy with this headset. In all categories I find that it does better then the price represents. If you're either looking for a budget headset, or a general good headset, the Klim Mantis will not dissapoint you :)

KLIM Mantis - Great gaming headphones and for music.
I needed a new headset after my old faithful died after getting soaked with water. I was looking to replace with a newer version of what I had but could not justify the price they wanted. I looked around and found the KLIM Mantis - read the reviews on Amazon and otehr places and thought to myself "Why not" what have I got to lose. Paid my money on Amazon and delivered two days later. Took them out of the box and was extremley surprised at how light they was. The main structure is some sort of rubberised plastic, well that is what it feels like. This plastic is somewhat flexible and not a hard plastic. Which means it should not break easily if dropped. The head band structure is made of the same plastic but on the inside where you head goes are three "pods" that are squishy and seem to be PU covered, this does not seem to make the top of my head sweat or feel uncomfortable. The speakers are housed in the flexible plastic again and these twist slighty in two planes which helps them fit better over you ears. The actual headphone ear cups are soft and PU covered. I don't think it leather. These cups can also be moved slightly around their holders to allow for differing shape ears I suppose. They are very comfortable even after hours of use, no real pressure on the side of your head and great if you wear glasses as well, which I do. The headset also has flashes of red plastic in certain places to give it a bit of colour. They look nice and suit it well. A boom microphone folds down from the left side. I cannot comment of the performance of this mic as I have not tested it yet only used for Cortana and she seems to understand me OK. Also from the left side is the mainly red and black braided lead which needs to be plugged into a USB 2.0 or greater port for it to operate. This is quite thick and seems very well made and seems to straighten out on its own if you try to bend it. My lead is 3030mm long which I make as 9ft 11inch, almost 10ft. Pleanty long enough. 800mm down the lead from the left ear cup are the controls in a stylish, small red and black plastic unit that will fit easily in most peoples hands, I cup in at my palms edge using my index and main finger and then the thumb can operate the controls. The controls are clearly marked in silver on red. The controls are volume up, down and mute and a microphone on/off switch. Pressing the microphone button will either illuminates the middle of the controls with a red LED or turn it off. If the LED is illuminated then the mike is muted. Talking of LEDs there are two red LEDs on either side of the arms that hold the speakers, which looks good in my opinion. Plugging in the lead to a USB port Windows 10 loaded default drivers for it and it was working. Do not settle for this, download the drivers from the KLIM website and install them. I had to reboot after installing them. Upon restart there is a "KLIM MANTIS Gaming Headset" icon in the notification area, right click this and choose open, now ensure that the headphone and mic are selected on the left hand side of this control panel. Right click the headphone icon and change the settings here. Turn on 7.1 Virtual Speaker Shift. I also chose a Rock preset in the Equaliser section and adjusted to my preferences. Now go and play your favourite game or listen to you favourite songs. You will be truly surprised at the quality of the sounds from the speaker, I am no audiophile but I could hear all the distinct parts of any music I listened to. All in a a top quality set of headphones for gaming and listening to music etc. without a stupid price tag.

Almost a great headset!
So close to being 100% happy with these! The only couple of things that are a let down for me is that there is no clear playback on the mic nor does the volume buttons work whilst in a PS4, I bought this item for both pc and PS4 set up but I don’t think it should be advertised as a PS4 headset if it’s obviously not fully compatible but apart from that, the noise cancellation is excellent and they are very comfortable. The sound is perfect for competitive shooters as it really give you an idea of enemy positions! Great for a battle royale! For pc users you couldn’t ask for a better headset for the price! So with the console minor problems aside is still think for the price the quailty is high!

Hands down beats Turtle Beach headsets twice its price.
After one week of use I feel I can now write a proper review of this product. This will be a long review but I want to give people the best information I can. At first I was very unsure about purchasing this headset as I couldn't find any reviews or comments about them anywhere. But, I finally took a leap and purchased them after a couple of days of trepidation. I'm glad I bought them. The sound quality is very good, and they take on the cinema scope sound very well. Bass is strong, though sometimes a little strong for my personal liking but I can't knock them because of my EQ preferences. The build quality is also very good. They are sturdy yet light and don't seem like they will break any time soon. The braided cable is strong and you have plenty of it to sit away from your console or PC. The microphone is also good, and is quite sensitive. It picks up everything it needs to. In its price range, the KLIM hands down beats Turtle Beach headsets more than twice the price, and is a strong competitor for Tritton headsets at the £60 mark. I can't comment on Razer or other headsets as I haven't tried them myself. My only niggle with the headset is that only the microphone mute button works on console and you need to manually adjust the volume in the settings. This however isn't enough to knock off a star as it is technically a PC headset. You will receive a humorous email once purchased about how your product was selected and shipped. Which, not needed, is a nice little addition showing that the company have a sense of humour. All in all, I have already recommended these to a friend and if my experience continues to be good over the coming months then I will be buying KLIM again in the future. I wish this startup company the best as they are making very competitive headsets against competition twice it's price.

Look no further than the KLIM Mantis. Great headset.
After my old headset decided to give up the ghost, I came across the KLIM Mantis after a bit of a search and decided to take the leap and buy it. I was looking into headsets that are double the price of the Mantis, but since I don't have a lot of disposable cash at hand, I had to go with a smaller budget. I wasn't disappointed with it once it arrived. In comparison to my old Sades headset, the Mantis had a lot more depth to the sound it produces, thanks to the 7.1 capabilities. With it primarily being used for gaming, the surround sound that I can attain from the headset was above and beyond what I was expecting. I've never had a headset that produces such a wide range of frequencies but it makes such a difference. The microphone is great as well. Very clear and crisp sound being broadcast. If streaming is something that you're into, this headset wouldn't fail in delivering a great streaming mic without having to spend big money. It sits nicely on my head too and is quite comfortable. The only bugbear on this one I think is sometimes when I take a drink with the headset on, the headset can tend to slip off, but that's more of the fact that I tend to have the headset band sitting further back on my head. When it sits more central, there isn't a problem (which is something I've learned). It has the built on volume control and mic/headset mute on the chord which is great. Even little touches such as the fade in and fade out when you mute/unmute is a nice touch so you don't get your ears blown off instantly. The mic mute has red LED's to show when the mic is muted or not. The whole build of the headset is spot on as well. I don't have any issues with the build so it'll be good for a long time to come. It looks aesthetically pleasing and the one I do like is that it doesn't have huge LED lights coming off each ear piece like other headsets do, only a couple small ones either side. Overall, if I have to buy another headset again, I'll go with the Mantis. For a small tech company, they seem to be punching above their weight. For the price, I would look no further.

KLIM IS a great company with a phenomenal product.
This is my first but not my last purchase of a KLIM product. I have been using the headset on Ps4 and PC now for two months (approx) and I have to say a running theme in this review will be value for money because the look, feel, sound and durability of this headset for it's budget / bargain price range of around £35 Is so outstanding I would use this over my Turtle beach £99 headset every day of the week. DELIVERY:The headset arrived well within expected delivery times which is impressive as I'm in a non mainland part of the UK. The packaging was of good quality and protected the product well on top of the usual manual and warranty documents etc. You get a chuckle worthy letter on how your order was processed by KLIM a nice touch and shows the company as a whole has personality. COMFORT & QUALITY: The ear cups are made from a leatherlike substance and surround the ear well (even on my gargantuan head which most baseball caps shiver in fear of) the headset sits well and fits like a dream the extendable ear pieces lock securely with a rigid satisfying click and the headband itself has a small piece of padding which along with the fantastic ear cups makes for a truly comfortable feel. I game quite a bit as my lack of social skills and impressive waistline will show and despite the meddling of real life responsibilities like work and *shudders* socialising I managed to find time for two marathon gaming sessions each roughly lasting about 6 hours and by the end my ears were still comfortable maybe slightly and I do mean slightly warm but my neck wasn't sore from the weight and my ears didn't feel pressed or sweaty. Overall I love the quality and COMFORT and no one should have any issues with using these either to blast an hour here and there or for those junk food filled marathons of bliss when you can slaughter Greek gods, survive robot dinosaurs or push a payload from point a to point b while playing as a sentient bomb who thinks he is a king. The cable is braided by the way in case that's important I don't believe it's a french braid though so maybe that's a negative. Oh one more thing this headset has one cable with a single usb and that's it not aux or 2.5mm branch offs like a lot of headsets but one simple usb cable which is a really generous length and has a built in rubber cable tidy so you can keep it to an ideal length and not have it trailing all over the floor. SOUND QUALITY: I'm not gonna lie don't expect super high pin point precision on enemies from these it's not a budget superhero power like Daredevils radar these have a digital 7.1 sound what that means is you have left and right speakers producing sound only from the left side and right side of your character in game but they have software built in to interpret that sound to tell you is it front back left right up down diagonal around a corner etc. And this is one of best digital surround headsets I have ever had the pleasure of so while I can hear an enemy clearly and tell roughly their direction don't expect to know if they had breakfast that morning because of how heavy their steps are. The sound is crisp and clear with no distortion even when moving the cable and provides good but not great in game awareness but unless you want to spend £200+ this is amazing sound and I have yet to hear better from a digital 7.1 surround headset. OVERALL: I believe this is the best headset on the market for any gamer casual or try hard and beats competitors nearly 3 times it's price, great company with a phenomenal product.

Good, But Not If You Have Hearing Issues
Sadly, this product didn't stay with me long and was returned for a refund. Was it faulty? No. Was quality an issue? No. My reason for returning was down to sound, or rather, the inability for me to hear some of it. Some time back I ruptured my left ear drum, and since have developed tinnitus, which for me manifests in a continuous high-pitched whistling. So as a result there are certain high pitched frequencies I either do not hear or have problems hearing. When trying out the KLIM headset it became very apparent the bass reproduction of these headsets was much more dominant than the treble, and as a result I was having trouble hearing the higher tonal sounds within games. My old and dying Sennheiser does not suffer from this and I hear all the game sounds perfectly - bass and treble in proportion. Why not buy new Sennheiser? Price point and limited budget, otherwise I would. For the price, KLIM offer a great piece of kit and this review doesn't mean this headset if bad. For listening to music the sound was excellent, but for some reason in games (such as Destiny 2), it just didn't work well enough for me, so in situations like PvP I was suffering higher defeats due to my inability to detect approaching players. Regarding comfort, these do hug your head firmly, and if you're replacing an old headset which has become rather loose on your head, be prepared for a snug feeling and warm ears. As for the boom mic, I cannot comment, so apologies there. In conclusion, for those without hearing issues in the higher frequency range and want these for gaming, tv and music, go for it. Otherwise I think more research is required. Great price point, great support from KLIM and sturdy construction. Nice bit of kit.

Good sound and microphone & Comfy to wear
I took a small gamble on these headphones as a replacment to previous ones, based on them having good reviews and price on Amazon. As a new company, they have produced a good solid pair or headphones, that are light on head, with comfy big ear pieces. One of the biggest problems I have with headphones as a wearer of glasses, is that after a while they press the arms into my head causing discomfort. That will never go away due to the style of my glasses arms, but they are now a lot more comfortable and can wear for a lot longer before feeling the 'press', which is only slight. Obviously headphones have to provide good sound, and so far, these have been pretty good with 7.1 sound working well. I have used them to play games (good sound and awareness of zonal sounds), watch a few films, listen to music, and also for communications (both gaming and work) and they have performed well all round, (with comments on the noted improvement of my mic from work comments and clients). Well worth the money, and not really a gamble in the end. Not as good as high end (£150+ bracket), but not far off, and better value and performance than other named ones in the mid range I have had and used.
