Joyce Chen, White , Non-Stick Rice Paddle, 7-5/8-inch, 7.625-Inch

I was given my rice cooker 2nd hand, so I don't have another paddle to compare this to.Initially, this paddle seemed like it was going to be 5 stars: held the rice really well, worked well for mixing seasoning into the rice, had a good shape for ease of use.Reason it drops down to 3 Stars a this point is because 6 months later I'm starting to find that rice is sticking pretty significantly to the spoon, when the product is specifically advertised as non-stick. Obviously this wasn't an issue at the beginning, but given as we're only 6 half-a-year in and it's already gotten to this state, I'm concerned that I'll have to buy a new one relatively soon. If this product was cheaper, this would be a non-issue: but $10 for a spoon seems like a pretty expensive item to replace so soon.

As noted by others, this rice paddle is actually a clear, translucent color, not white. I like the look. The paddle itself is somewhat larger than my OEM Zojirushi paddle and it has more of an acute bend in the curve. The corners are somewhat squared off and it fits into the recesses of my rice cooking bowl perfectly. That makes it easier to scoop the rice efficiently. It also seems to hold onto more rice than other paddles I've owned. All-in-all, I'd say this is a useful, good looking implement and I'm totally jazzed with my purchase. I also like using bamboo rice paddles for stirring the contents of smaller pans while they're on the stove. It's a universal sort of shape that lends itself to any number of kitchen tasks. A+++++

I was so surprised at how much I like this non-stick paddle. I ended up getting another one since I use it much more often than I expected. They're also great for oatmeal or any hot cereals, anything that tends to normally stick to the spoon (tapioca pudding, rice pudding, even scrambled eggs if you don't expose them to heat that's too high). It barely takes up any room in your drawer and it easily washes up and you don't worry about rice grains, oatmeal or other items drying stuck to it! I think every kitchen should have a couple of these great paddles!

The pics do not show how curved the unit is.I would worry about trying to use this in small rice pots <3 cups.I have a 3 cup rice cooker, and maneuvering this curved rice paddle poses a slight challenge at times - I would have preferred a straighter design.It is NOT made out of Teflon / PFTE, so the non-stick feature is more due to the raised dots, and not the material itself.It is made out of a very tough plastic, so I would have no problem trusting it'll outlast my lifetime.

Surprisingly non-stick. At first I thought this would just be a gimmick or a sales pitch of sorts. But no, not only is this thing perfectly weighted and sturdy in its design, the non-stick paddly surface works extremely well. I lost the rice paddle that came with my rice cooker and bought this to replace that. It has definitely proved to be an able substitute.The only reason I docked a star was that I'd have liked the handle to be a tad broader. However that could probably just be me :)

The item was not completely smooth so I returned it but it look like a quality product.

This is a great rice paddle. It doesn't stick. Its easy to clean. What more is there to say. Its a rice paddle.

So far, I am very pleased with this rice paddle. The paddle is very easy to use and clean, and seems to be durable (I have only used the item for about a month, so its durability will be fully revealed down the line). Overall, great product.

Poor quality compare with the price.
