Bruce Campbell is brilliant as Ash Williams and lets the character develop but the madness remains and yet there is a twisted logic that drives it forward. Lee Majors makes an appearance and offers great support along with the regulars.It remains gory and will not appeal to everyone (my wife included) but if you liked the Evil Dead series or are a fan of horror, in general, you will love this. There are times it ramps up the tension too but the humor is never far away. There are some great one-liners and the 6 Million Dollar man reference makes the whole season worthwhile on its own! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Deadites beware, HE BACK!!! *by M***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 October 2017* Following on from the bloody gorefest of season one, this ten-episode season raises the body fluid to a 100, as we see Ash returns home to Elk Grove to deal with his crotchety father (Lee Majors) and the towns belief of his Boogeyman past, rampaging killer cars, diabolical devil trees, and all sorts of evil minions of hell, while dealing with the evil Baal or Bill according to Ash. With each episode awesomely pushing us to our hardcore gore, and good taste, limits. As for the other characters story arc, it's a hit or miss, this season has given us a fully realized Ash, who was both hilarious and valiant, while also fleshing out his character more with a great "town boogeyman" backstory. It would have been nice to see Kelly's arc land somewhere more significant, but overall this was a raunchy, gloppy good time filled with grit and guts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 star show, 1 star purchase. *by R***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2018* I absolutely love this show but the second disk wouldn't play at all. Looking through the other reviews for the Blu-ray and having done a Google search for problems with disk 2 not playing, I found quite a few threads dedicated solely to the issue.So, clearly, it must be a manufacturer issue. It starts up the disk, plays the logo with "Groovy" and just stops. Couldn't do anything to sort it with my Ultra HD Blu-ray player yet, oddly, when I tried playing it on my PS4 Pro it worked. So, unless you happen to have a PS4 to play it on then I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.
