Easy to program, easy to install. If you're elderly and don't have quick internet skills the codes for your local alerts might be hard to program, but it literally took me longer to source the 4 AA backup batteries than to program it. Good reception, good value.

Need to read instructions to set up properly. It works great.*Update* Just got my first actual tornado watch alert. Worked perfectly. The light also flashed as it's supposed to.

The included strobe light just doesnt work, ive been in tornado watch and warning, as well as thunderstorm watch and warning with it plugged into my midland weather radio (testing it on the bought radio didnt work either) and it should be cross compatible. Overall the strobe light just never lit up ever, I even took it apart to look at it and it looks fine so maybe its a short in the line.Apart from that the buttons on this radio feel good, its a bit weird to set up using a county code (its not your zip code!) but other than that it works.

I kept my old weather radio way beyond its useful life because setting it up initially had been an ordeal. However, recent tornadoes in our area finally convinced me to replace it with one that could be easily programmed and would provide timely alerts. This weather radio had instructions that were easy to follow and setup was completed in minutes. It came exactly as pictured, was priced reasonably and shipped promptly. Very happy with this purchase.

This is essentially garbage. Signal won't come in, directions are for a different radio, external alert came broken. It worked for like 3 days and now is just static.

Needed a weather radio down in the shelter. For the price and the external warning light + external antenna included, figured this was worth a try over another Midland. The radio arrived with a crack in the directional buttons, and the external light does not work when testing the alert. The second issue was mentioned by another reviewer already - I took a gamble since the external light would have been a "nice to have", not a deal-breaker. The cracked buttons still works: just looks like garbage is all. Otherwise, the external antenna works like a charm, got a good signal, and I expect the unit will sound on next test day. If you want a radio with the external antenna thrown in, and don't care about that external light not working, get this while it's on sale. Otherwise, stick with a Midland WR120B. This one will be sitting in the shelter.

Seems to be very good reception and total operation.

Weather radio was easy to set up. Comes with two antennas. It has a voice and light alert, which is nice.
