The velcro can be adjusted as needed to make sure it covers protects your footwear. I find that every few months the product needs replacing as the Velcro pads detach from the elastic. Otherwise the product is great. It is extremely comfortable. I actually feel more uncomfortable without it as my shifter tends to dig into the top of my foot.
