Finally decided to put it to test last night. I filled it up halfway and waited 15min exactly. We didn't see any steam coming from it, just some condensation on the inside where measurements are. Thought maybe it was lowly heated up. At the 15min mark I poured into a cup and was amazed at how hot it was! I think it's perfect for my car camping for thr next 8 wks. Hopefully it continues to working no issues. The cable did get a little warm but it's that bad and where I placed the kettle to warm was slightly warm but nothing alarming. Outside of pot was cool. Seems well insulated for as hot as the water was :)

The kettle is defective. The power light is lit up, but it doesn't heat up at all.

holds about 22-25 ounces, takes about 20 minutes to boil, this is my second one, first lasted about 3 years, being used most days.

This little water boiler is awesome. I used it to make hot water on my boat for instant coffee. 12V cigarette lighter use and takes about 10 min 2 boil two cups of water. I recommend it for boating, camping or in the car. It’s a great little pot for hot water. I love it.!

It never did function at all ,horrible unit and I will not bother to return it. I won't buy another one that's for sure, Thanks.

I don't use it to boil water as I don't want my Ramen noodles and chocolate drink to be too hot. The water heats up very quickly.

I had bought this 12v kettle for the car, necause our power had been out dur to the hurricane, but had to return it once (because it never heated water and made a terrible sound)...so I thought, "maybe it's just this one and it's defective"...happens right?? Well you'd be wrong because since then the return has made its way back to me....and it makes the same horrible sound, and stilwon't heat water. Needless to say, it'll be going back for a refund now and not a replacement. Sucks because hot water is so nice when you don't have power because of the hurricane.. coffee or noodles would be nice, warm face towel at the end of the night?...
