Pedometer Watch Senior Friendly No App No Phone Required, Step Counter

This is the watch I have been searching for. All inputs go directly into the watch. There is not a single reason you need a companion app or a phone. No bluetooth!!. The only reason would be if you want to keep a longer record of your exercise events. The best thing is that it is very easy to setup (< 2 minutes) and incredibly all the heart health and step functions work accurately. You can change your inputs at any time without having to pull up the app and change them there and then sync them to the watch. The watch is extremely easy to navigate. It has 10 main exercise features and two heart functions ( heart rate and blood oxygen). It also has an exercise record ( I believe last a week). You have 5 different dial faces included and also a timer , Alarm, stopwatch and sleep tracking. It takes about 2 hours to charge from 0, and it last in normal use at least 10 days, especially when shutting down the power when not using. When done using the watch, shut the power off instead of just letting it sleep. This will stop any background action going on. Oh, it also shows time and date. You have to slide up to the second screen to get the battery charge and settings icon. The settings allow you to set date and time, brightness, systems settings where you can power off, reset or restart. You can also input units, your personal info, language and display time before the watch sleeps here. I wish all smart watches were this easy. True, there are not 100's of dial faces to choose from and not a long list of sporting functions, but everything most people use are in this watch. There also is not a calculator or calendar. I have had 2 other smartwatches, both were required some inputs to watch from an app and neither was as accurate as the heart rate and step counting on this watch.

I use this activity monitor just what it’s for, to monitor my activity and I love to be able to just look at it and it will tell me right on the face how many steps I have walked that day. It’s simple it’s easy, and it looks nice. I couldn’t be more happy with this. I usually charge it every night like I used to with my Apple Watch, just out of habit, but every night it is still on 96 or 97% battery so it holds the battery well, IMO. I don’t use the app, even though you can set it up that way. It’s the whole reason I bought it - to not have to worry about running a Bluetooth 24/7. If you’re in doubt, just buy it! You won’t be sorry.

Updated 1/18/25: Six months later, this smartwatch is still going strong! My son is still super busy and despite slams and bangs and whatnot, this watch works great and the battery is holding up really well. The only downside is that he’s had some skin irritation on the area that the watch portion sits on and on the side of the arm opposite the watch unit, he has irritation from the strap. We’ve been managing this by having him take breaks from wearing the device and/or swapping it to the other wrist. Hydrocortisone cream works well to resolve the irritation. Original review: I bought this for my son on his 10th birthday. He really wanted a smartwatch, but he’s a rough-and-tumble kid and I worried it would be easily broken. I needed somethings affordable. This watch fit the bill nicely. It’s been 6 months since we purchased it, and it’s still going strong despite heavy duty playtime. My son doesn’t have a phone, so he’s using the ‘basic’ features. That still provides him with a watch, step counter, heart rate monitor, alarm, stop watch, and some other features I can’t remember. His cons were: No access to additional features just because he doesn’t have a phone. Can’t change the background. His pros: Waterproof so far. Watch went through the washer AND dryer and still WORKS. I was shocked at the level of durability. Step counter seems accurate. Watch is easy to read and has a few different faces to choose from. The alarm works great and having the ‘buzz’ against his skin helps to wake him. I can’t speak to the connectivity, as he doesn’t have a phone. He’ll be getting one in about 6 months. If these watches are still being offered, I’ll update my review then. Overall, a good first smartwatch and appropriate for kids. Would recommend/buy again.

I purchased one in 2025 from the same manufacturer, it would not let me sync the new watch to my old VeryFit app. now it’s some lame app that only holds data for 30 days and you can only track approximately five activities such as outdoor run, rowing and outdoor walk ect. What I did not see was “senior friendly” To all potential buyers, there is nothing about this watch that is “friendly” to anyone.

I got the watch for my 88 yo mom . It is fantastic. Battery lasts over a week , counts her steps and sleep accurately. She is very happy with it .

Just got it, turned it on and set up the watch. Was at 99% and Went down to 65% within 20 minutes.... the look and feel are great, I'm just hoping this was due to not being fully charged and trying again. Messages also will not show on my watch.

Great Backup Smartwatch – Simple, Practical, and Worth the Price I’m really happy with this smartwatch. The best part is that it doesn’t require an app to get started.
