I love this! No more boiling eggs in a pot!

Working w new poacher to figure out correct amount of H20 and time. First run was waaaay overcooked. 2nd run was 77 seconds and still a tad overcooked. Will try 66 seconds in a few days. But product does what it says …. It QUICKLY poaches eggs

I am going to return this item.....no only were the eggs overdone (and I did watch the videos), they exploded and made a mess in my microwave. The next time, I'll just fry an egg and make it dippy!!!Not worth the aggravation and having to clean (my already clean) microwave for a so called poached egg!Don't waste your time!

I love poached eggs, but never cared for the mess. I did two the morning after I received this and was blown away! I put them in a bit too long for our microwave at 59 seconds and they were over cooked, so be careful with the time. Mine only needs 45 seconds and they came out awesome! Plan to buy another for our family summer camp and that microwave will most likely take the full minute. That one is smaller and less powerful.It doesn't come with any instructions but can be found online. Like putting the eggs in first and adding the water, second. (pretty simple)You won't be disappointed, and I've even ordered some more for a friend already.

This creates nice and soft poached eggs because of the water it uses. Previously, I had a poacher that didn't use water, and the eggs turned out rubbery. However the picture of the nicely circular eggs shown on the plate aren't real as in this poacher, the eggs cook in whatever shape it wants to in the blue strainer. My biggest issue is that a fair amount of the egg whites seep through the slats into the outside water holder, then get cooked in the bottom of the water pan. It's hard to get them off and end up being wasted.Being somewhat obsessive about my poached eggs, I then purchased "Kitzini Poached Egg Cup. Egg Coddler 4 Set". I place these in the water of this poacher, put my eggs into them (use a bit of oil!), and place the poacher lid on top to prevent egg shrapnel from covering the top of the microwave if/when the egg pops. I'm still getting the timing down, but they cook in a nice shape and still have very good texture. To me, it's worth the extra effort.

No instructions !!!!???, so read these reviews. 2 table spoons of water seems O.K. - maybe less. 3 is far too much. 65 seconds eventually produced my preferred hard centre. Small time increments after an initial 40 secs, ensure you obtain the egg you wanted, without an explosion.Easy cleaning is the big advantage, only if you happen to happen across the timing and amount of water - otherwise you gain no time as it is spent cleaning the container and microwave - or trying it for a few more seconds ... to find optimum timing ...A pain - all for the sake of a table of times and power + how much water.

I tried them for the first time this morning. I tried 40 seconds at first, based on what other reviewers said. THat was clearly NOT enough, so I put them in for another minute which turned out to be too much for my taste. So tomorrow morning I'll do a minute and that should be just right or close to it. I like the yolks soft, but not runny. Today's were hard.The flavor was still good, though, and it was nice to get poached eggs so fast and easily. It would be nice of the instructions included time guidelines. Even though every microwave is slightly different, a ballpark would have been nice. Other than that the instructions are easy to follow.It's really easy to clean up after and I'm ready to try again tomorrow.
