Dockem Koala Tablet Wall Mount: Universal Damage-free Adhesive Wall Dock for iPads, iPad Airs, Galaxy Tabs and other Tablets [black]

Not 100% sure if they are good, as unfortunately they are no good for the use i needed them for... my fault.

I'm taking the time to update my review after Chris and team at Dockem were kind enough to get in touch with me and explain that I had purchased my Koala mounts at an introductory price and that they were unfortunately unable to highlight this fact in the Amazon listing and also unable to continue to provide the product at this price point.I had stated previously that I thought the product was excellent. It does exactly what I hoped it would do, I use one for my iPhone 5 by the bed and one for my iPad 3 in the Kitchen. I can't decide where to put the third yet - I think I need some more. Having my iPad safe on the wall in the kitchen is awesome, I'm loving using FaceTime while I cook - I can kill two birds with one stone, check in with my folks and make food. Its also super-handy having my iPad off the counter for recipes and the like.I bought the mounts on a whim, they seemed like a great idea and I've ended up using my iPad more since having them, something about having all that cool stuff at my finger tips in the kitchen, even if its just streaming some music, or watching the news in the morning while I make coffee. It feels more futuristic then it should.Couple of other thoughts. Being plastic they dont scratch up your stuff, just dont stick them too close together if you're using an iPhone 5, that thing scratches up really easily and the mounts can offer a very tight fit. I have regular plasterboard walls at home, and the mounts stuck up there no problem.Also they work brilliantly in landscape with the smart cover iPad 2 and 3. I don't have a 4 so can't comment. They also work well with the iPad mini, but you can't charge it in the mounts in landscape orientation (same with the iPhone I guess) as the mount obscures the charging port.So I heartily recommend both this product and Chris and the team at Dockem.

This product is ultimately two pieces of plastic, but they serve the purpose. A prominent feature is the included third party 'Command Strips' by 3M. There are various commands strips (Including velcro types) but the pair included in this package are the double sided adhesive ones. Peeling off the backing of the strips I was surprised to find that one side wasn't sticky. Nonetheless, when applied to the wall, it's hold like glue. My ipad mini is therefore safe (touch wood). On that note; the plastics mounts are unsuitable for iPad Minis and smaller tablets. A modification is necessary - a cut of one of the 'ribs' with a hacksaw so that the power cable can be plugged in. Without this, the lightning port on iPad Mini is obstructed (see pics). This issue could have easily been avoided. This product I feel is overpriced, but the idea of marrying these holders with the Command Strips is an awesome idea and a welcomed one. Recommended.

I got one of these to hang my Nexus 7 tablet on the wall by my bed, so I had somewhere safe to put it after browsing/gaming before going to sleep.I was a bit worried that it would not stick well to my textured wallpaper, but it has held up for a good few months now. (Maybe it helped that I found a position where the texture was mostly flat, since the wallpaper pattern has some areas flatter than others.)The design seems great, and I can slide the tablet in without much light, looking at it upside down while in bed. :) Even when I can't see what I'm doing, the plastic is very smooth so I don't feel there's a risk that I'll damage my tablet when I miss.The little hooks (or whatever you'd call them) for holding a charging cable are a nice touch, but I've stopped using them as I like to be able to take the tablet off the wall while it is still charging (and I also kept doing that without realising it was still attached on a short leash, heh). (Also, I sometimes want to charge my phone on a windowsill using the same charger, so having the cable free makes more sense.) Still, they're good for some scenarios, and they're tiny things hidden under the bottom lip of the brackets, so you won't know they are there if you don't use them.All in all, a great design that has stood up well.The narrowness of the slots means they would not fit my old phone (Nexus S), as it has a bulge at the bottom which is a bit too thick, but they fit my Nexus 7 tablet perfectly (with a bit of room to spare), and would also fit my new, thinner phone (Nexus 4). The same company have another model which would be more suitable if you have a thick phone.

OK, does the job but it's 2 small pieces of plastic and 2 sticky pads. Way over priced

Product quality is good. It will be used to secure my portable rifi router in my campervan.

Utterly useless! The brackets didn't come close to sticking to the wall. I don't know if the Command strips had perished or were just otherwise rubbish, but this hasn't worked at all. Avoid at all costs!

I left a negative review about this product, because there was what I considered to be a design flaw. It turns out there was just a packaging mistake, or fulfilment error. .Not only did the seller refund me, they also sent replacement(s) presumably “for my trouble”. The replacement works excellently and is exactly what I was looking for.This kind of active customer support is increasingly rare, and I would have been happy enough just to know it wasn’t quite the right product and to do an exchange (though I greatly appreciate the precluding of wasted shipping fuels and boxes to return plastic items).I’m extremely impressed (not because oooo free) and I have to commend them on their support of the product and will look for others made by them as a result of this interaction.As for the mount, it’s a very simple idea that works well for me, holding an iPad for nighttime viewing and the office desk. It’s affordable and I would recommend it - just make sure you’re getting the screw if adhesive mount - rubber feet only go with the screw mount.
