Q: Is this watch mechanical? Meaning do you have to wind the nob on the end to make the hands spin?

Sorry so late on response. Answer: No, it is a Swiss Ronda quartz movement, and it works very well.

Q: How long does the battery last?

Not sure about battery life but my watch is still running strong and I have owned it for a few months now.
