The ointment on them is very thick, so it's not totally dry when you take it off your skin and you know you're getting a lot of good hydration. So far I haven't felt too much difference between the different types, but the aloe vera one did feel like it was soothing my skin more than the hemp one did so they do seem to basically do what they're saying. After taking them off and patting in the remaining ointment there's a lot of remaining sticky residue so you might want to have some other moisturizer or something handy to finish rubbing it in or just prepare for a light rinse to get the rest off if you don't want your face collecting lint and things afterwards.
