Superior to the spring nuts
Much more convenient and easier to place than the spring nuts, especially on slotted strut. More expensive though so will use where convenience matters.

The cone holds the nut in place
The Xadnitu 1/2"-13 Cone Strut Channel Nuts are well designed and manufactured. The cone holds the nut firmly in the channel.I recommend the Cone Channel Nut.

Convenient and User-friendly Cone Nuts, A Refreshing Change
I recently had the opportunity to try out these cone nuts, a novel experience given my long history with traditional spring style strut channel nuts. While the latter work adequately, positioning them precisely before fastening the bolt can be a tedious task. These cone nuts are a game-changer. Their design makes them far more manageable to position exactly where desired, and once placed, they stay put without any hassle. They require a bit more force to slide through a strut channel, but this small inconvenience is overshadowed by the absence of a bulky spring that would otherwise need compression and could potentially interfere with the slots on the channel's rear side. The price point is sensible, and given their ease of use and functionality, these cone nuts will undoubtedly prove to be valuable in various applications. For anyone looking for an alternative to traditional strut nuts, I recommend giving these a try.

Fit Just Fine
Personally, cone nuts are my last choice when building with strut as I find them sort of a pain in the neck. BUT, they are really handy when you are adding something to a strut in a crowded spot and have limited ability to control positioning without difficulty.Unlike the big box store type with the flex blue cones, these have a more industrial type stiff white cone. It is not easily deformed and is thus somewhat harder to initially get into the strut and turn the nut, but will stay in place much better than the blue cone types once it's there. Great for vertical placement in particular. They fit the strut properly and the threading is good.Good value.

These are best invention yet
If your using sloted strut, you will want to use these instead of spring nuts. Slide easly and don't get hung up like spring nuts. See last photo when spring gets in the way.

Almost a great product
These "uni-strut" style nuts are a great idea, almost. The design using a, what I thought was a flexible, cup instead of a spring to hold them in place looked to be a neat way to hold the nuts in place. Unfortunately the cup is not flexible enough to be of much good. The retainer cup is difficult to compress with your fingers making them that much more annoying to slide into place in the strut. I chose the 1/4 x 20 for my use and they did the job and held ok after messing with them to get into place. In my case I was not working the a channel that was overhead so that helped with the install. Not a bad price, but unless the material used to make the retainer cup is changed I think I will stick to the spring loaded types.Maybe in the next revision they will work better.
