what you should know is that this is really a wok
I didn't really understand what this was when I bought it, but it's a fine pan. It's basically a wok, and would be about the best pan you could get if you wanted a wok versatile enough to be used for other things. There's a nice little rack for holding things you just stir fried, a nifty addition. It's pretty easy to clean, but it's not really nonstick. Stuff can definitely stick and get stuck if you're not careful. It's a bit heavy and large, but nicely designed for the size, so it's not too hard to manage when you have to clean and move it around. I find I use it when I want to concentrate the heat on the bottom, have a large cooking surface on top. I like this for cooking rices, pilafs, etc. I tried using it for frying potato pancakes, and that was okay, but I probably wouldn't use it that way again.

I enjoyed the fad of wok cooking
In the 1970's (yes, I'm that old), I enjoyed the fad of wok cooking, and had always wanted a cast iron, porcelain coated version of a wok, but couldn't justify the cost or give up storage space. On a whim, I thought I'd go for Staub's--always excellent product--version of a wok. It really is designed for perfect all 'round use, both Western and Asian. It fits/works perfectly on our induction range. The lid is generous without being extravagant the way some wok lids can be. I'm always disappointed if I can't find a use for it when preparing a meal. It's particularly easy to clean.

Excellent quality that you expect from Staub
I have several pieces of Staub cast iron and was excited to add this Perfect Pan to my collection. It has the beautiful majolique finish in sapphire blue and makes me so happy to get cooking!

Perfect size for frying or stir-fry
Christmas present for my wife. She loves her Staub cookware. I wasn't quite sure about this one but she uses this every week for one dish or another. We don't do a lot of hot oil cooking but this works fantastic as a fryer.

Lives Up to It's Name
Perfect size for one or two person households and the pan and cover fit easily in our electric cooktop's bottom drawer. I've been a big fan of Staub's heat conduction and non-stick qualities ever since buying their no longer available 2 qt dutch oven back in the day when Staub was LC's significantly less expensive but equally well made competition. Nowadays more aligned pricewise but still as well made, and if truth be told, better designed.

Beautiful
I received this as a gift and I would say my favorite thing about this pan is that it is so beautiful that you can cook in it and then bring it to the table and use it to serve the food as well. It is a good size for cooking and presenting.

If I had only one pan-this would be it
This has become my staple pan-I am not sure that I could function without it anymore (that sounds so dramatic). I cook a lot of vegetables and it has been so easy in this wok-also I did not have any trouble cooking eggs and clean up was a breeze.
