Yes, the Dolphin cleaners do not remember the pool. Therefore it can map multiple pools.

How long is the actual cord?

I don’t know the exact length but it is pretty long, but the cord kinks and gets twisted and it ended up doing wheelies in the pool all day so I returned mine. I plan on getting one with the swivel, it is worth the extra money cause the pool vacuum really works…..when it works

Can you direct the vacuum on where to clean? We borrowed a dolphin and it never wanted to clean the tanning deck... it just kept going to main pool

Yes, you can do that by selecting this option on the iPhone app. Contrary to the manufacturer's statement, this robot WILL NOT clean your pool walls or waterline or stairs. Nor will it clean your pool bottom efficiently. This thing does a better job on a square or rectangular pool with no cove around the bottom perimeter. Any ledges in your pool? Watch the robot quit.
