Superfish Aqua Flow XL Filter 500 L/H

This is a great filter, it comes with a lot of media but you can add some finer sponges or filter floss to increase its efficiency. I also replaced the ceramic rings with Substrat Pro as you can fit a lot more in, which again increases the filter's efficiency further.The flow is also really strong and the motor runs practically silently, which is just what I wanted for a tank in the living room.Best bang for buck filter you can buy in my humble opinion!

Great value for money, keeps water pristine. Adjustable flow makes it great for fish or amphibians which thrive in low flowing to stagnant water

waste of money, worst filter I have ever bought and been keeping fish for 40 years. once I had taken it apart to clean it never closed properly again waste killed it of within 24 hours by getting in the sides . air flow is almost non existent . I am very disappointed in this filter

I wish this size pump was available earlier ! Very spacious to pack with sponges & carbon sachets as needed ,neat,quiet & easy to clean .watched You tube video I found when I googled this Aqua flow pump XL 500l/hr .Perfect for my mucky fancy goldfish 180L tank

Been running for a short while now and seems to keep the tank clean. It seems just about right for the 105l tank on the lowest setting. Unclipping the filter can be a nuisance as the clip is at the bottom. Not difficult, just a nuisance. I did add some filter floss just above the biomedia section and it works a treat for additional filtering without putting strin on the filter (I just replace the floss when I water change).I have noticed that the filter does slip down the tank (very slowly though, not enough to trap fish), luckily it sits above a tiny house so it stops it hitting the gravel. The suction cups are good for suction, like, it won't fall off, but not enough to stop it slipping. I may over come this by placing two additional suction cups under the filter to prevent movement.Purchase a bag of carbon for regular, cheaper changes. It suits my needs. All in all, for the price. Tis' good
