Raleigh Bikes MXR Kids Bike

This bike was given as a gift for a 4 yr old. It is sturdy and well made. It is much heavier than we anticipated. The directions for assembly were not very helpful, but my husband was able to assemble it without difficulty.It did not come with a bell, we purchased one separately.

Needed a 2 wheeler for a very agile but small 3 year old who is way past training wheels and strider bikes. I didn’t want to pay too much bc very soon I expect him to move up in size but wanted him to safely be able to touch the ground and have pedal brakes. He loves it and it looks great!

There are better bikes out there, but you will spend about $100 more to get to that level. Considering the cost of this bike, it is very LIGHT which is probably the most important thing to look for in a 12" bike considering the weight of the rider. The only two complaints I have is that the seated position is too upright and the seat post is loose in the frame (the hole should be tighter). If the bottom bracket were dropped a little, then the crank would be in a better position relative to the seat and the rider could lean forward more, like the geometry of an adult bike. However, the geometry is not any worse than the other 12" bikes you would buy from a department store. This bike is decently stable, despite the upright riding position. I fixed the loose seat post issue by wrapping a single layer of masking tape around it. Now it can be tightened securely.

Bought this bike for my 2.5 yr old son. Naturally I wanted his 1st bike to be special and well made. Raleigh turns out a good product, and this kids bike is no exception. Assembly was simple only requiring a 14mm socket for the seat post, 6mm Allen wrench for the neck, and 15mm wrench for everything else. The bell attached nicely and well within reach of his little digits, flag took less than a minute, both purchased separately.

Very nice bike, but it was too hard for my grandson to peddle. I had to purchase a different bike for him.

Well built bike. It’s easy for a two year old to pedal. We’re still working on steering, but a nice beginners bike.I can’t speak to the assembly, my SIL put it together, but he did it fairly quickly with no frustration.

I like the style but my 3 years old is not able to pedal, its too heavy, he has tried his friend one of another brand and my boy was able to ride! If i could come back in time i wouldn't buy it...I.m sorry!
